We suck and the window is closed so this is the only way we can get players to prevent us from going down. I'm not sure the thought process is much more complex than that.

Guthrie I can understand. I expect him to play over Tunniclife. The keeper I don't understand as much. Betts has been one of our best players and just about single handedly got us the win last week.

Lee is a bit confusing, not sure what the idea is there. Guthrie though I think it's a move to try and help this year and maybe join permanently next season

Gutherie has made 2 whole appearances for Reading this season and Lee a big 1 League Cup appearance for Brentford? In fact he's made a total of 13 appearances in the past 3 seasons. Sigh. Why are we loaning in players that haven't had a whole lot of playing time for their previous clubs this late in the season? I would be ok with 1 player for a position that has been a sore spot but 3? WTF? Pardon my acronyms.

Guthrie was a pedestrian backup midfielder for Newcastle who saw some significant time due to injuries and then relegation. But then he moved to Reading and he's only featured 58 times in approximately 140 Reading matches.

It would appear to be a move that does little to improve the team. That said, he could still be better than what we've got. If nothing else he's 7-1/2 years younger than Parker.

I know we're not used to this, but frequently loaning players in/out is quite common in the lower leagues. It usually as to do with the end of season balance sheet.

I dunno, I don't mind all these moves.

Turner? Eh. Burn is in the doghouse and Hutch/Bodurov was becoming untenable. The other active defenders have a combined age just over 40. And I'd like to know if Kay Voser is still alive...

Husband was swapped for Amorebieta (whew), but also might mean Stafylidis' time in the XI is well and truly over. Meh.

Lee arriving probably means Kiraly is on the way out; though I still don't know why he arrived to begin with.

The Guthrie move shows that LVC is probably done for the season. We're woefully short in the middle: Scott Parker can barely play once a week, Tim Hoogland isn't really a CM but has been deputized there (shades of Boca back in 06/07), and Tunnecliffe isn't really a CM.

Not to mention we have 5 games between April 3rd and 18th against Brentford (h), Charlton (a), Wigan (h) , Rotherham(h), and Blackpool (a). That right there is the season...

According to GetWestLondon Lee is set to retire at the end of the season. I have no idea why we would bring him on if that is the case. I can understand some of the other transactions with an eye on trying out players for next year, but that one baffles me.
