Based on a previous thread, I have so far been able to assemble the following suggested celebrities for a possible invitation to be an honorary FUSA member, if we so decide at some point, listed alphabetically by last name (if they have one):

Be sure to vote in the poll. Things that I would think are worthy of consideration, other than their looks (which it appears is a major factor for most), would be whether they even like soccer and Fulhamish type of attitude or personality.

Perhaps if this ever came to fruition, we could send them FUSA gear, put one of the player's shares in their name, and maybe even get them to visit The Cottage with everyone else that goes at the one chosen time of the year to meet both FUSA members and Fulham FC players. Just a few ideas, instead of doing the work that I should this Monday afternoon.

If anyone has any other ideas, be sure to post.

 

Just found this out about Demi Moore:

She is a supporter of London's Arsenal Football Club and likes to attend their games when in England during the soccer season.

Let that affect your vote as it may.

This about Bill Murray:

Is rumoured to be Leeds United fan (see Famous Leeds United Fans). Though this may be part of the Hollywood trend to associate with European, mainly English, soccer clubs; and quite possibly, baloney.

Can't you see Jessica Alba in a kit surrounded by Mac, Boca, Deuce?? Kinda brings a tear to my eye, thanks PCB!

 

Certainly one of things I imagined also, although in my version, I'm right there with the rest of the guys (along with the FUSA Founding Fathers also, of course).

For the record, I'd take standing next to Diane Lane just as well.

Oh quite clearly this would have to be Rihanna. I mean that accent is so damn sexy and I dig chicks from the Caribbean. Also since she is from some country down there I would assume she likes or has at least watched some sort of football.

I almost voted for my friend Mr. Gates, thinking he could throw some of his spare change FFC's way to get us a decent CB. But I always let the little head do the thinking... Jessica Alba.

Failing that, what's the next step in your plan PCB - I would hate to think this is just a half-arse idea that has not properly been thought through.

I have done a little research (don't type storking Jessica Alba into google - the results are awful)

You could try something like:

"Dear Ms Alba,

Have you ever thought of supportng an English Premier League Football (real football that is) club? No..., well have I got an offer for you baby...."

 

GBFC, I have thought about the next steps.

1. This is a process, so unless one person runs away with it, I'd like to put a final two up for votes. That way, someone who voted for Bill Murray can have a vote in the general election (this being the primary).

2. Once the votes are final, I'll get in contact with the powers that be regarding what their thoughts are on extending an invitation to said celebrity. We'll figure out what ll that might entail.

3. We'll figure out how to contact said celebrity. And it appears you have us off to a good start with the fetching Ms. Alba.

4. We contact the FulhAmerican players on the squad notifying them of who was voted as FUSA Celebrity Member. Ask them their thoughts, and see if they can help draw that celebrity in with photo-ops, etc.

5. We'll contact said celebrity with a "formal" notification of being voted as the FUSA Celebrity by members of FUSA, fill her/him in on what the post could include (if they are willing).


THose are my thoughts up to now. Please do not hesitate to help me formulate the master plan. One thing I definitely want, is Tom's and Mike's stamp of approval once the vote is finalized (or before).

Feedback is strongly encouraged.

 

I hope that once we make it out of the primaries a full and frank disclosure (with pictorial evidence?) of previous indiscretions are made; we would not want a popular figure aligned with us who would tarnish the good name of Fulham FC. I would take no pleasure in reviewing such vile material, but for Fulham I would do be prepared to do it.

Alright, well out of the 13 people who voted, Jessica Alba was the run away winner.

GBFC, I will begin work on a draft of the letter informing her of this honour. I'll be sure to run it by you for proofing.

I am serious about this (having just watched The Fantastic Four), so lets think about how we can make this happen!!
