Given its popularity I hereby propose the  be adopted as FUSA's official mascot.

You bananarist make me want to puke. Forget this banana nonsense, it's time to emancipate the apple, what useful alcoholic contribution has the banana ever made? None, why it's not even a fruit, just a grubby little seed.

This banana nonsense is like a slap in the face for all those people who fought to liberate us from the tyranny of Nazi Germany.

Terri, never have I been gladder that my office is in my former dining room and not in my old cubicle surrounded by my colleagues. I don't know what was louder -- the music or my laughter. Thanks

You are a profoundly weird and wonderful person. 8)

To be honest, I really hate bananas. Mushy, horrible things!

And I do like cider...a lot. Maybe it is true what GBFC said about the apple...

Until GBFC can conjure up a dancing apple...

From another (altogether more interesting) thread...

A fine example of the typical oppression that apples face in this banana happy world. It won't only be Erik you don't get a Christmas card from PCB.

Next the governments of the world will pretend that an "apple a day will keep the doctor away" is just a cheap marketing gimmick instead of indisputable truth.

GBFF perhaps there is a reason the dancing apple is not as widely accepted as the dancing banana. The lust of the apple and its alcholic offspring has led to the decline in civilization as we know it. Its supporters are known in most of acceptable society as degenerates and their behavior has led to the coining of the phrase "a few bad apples in every batch".

While the overall goodness and pristine nature of the banana has been equated to the cream of society with the best of the best being known as the "Top Banana".

Please give up this fruitless crusade for the apple and realize that at its core the apple can never compete with the banana for the love of the masses.

Applists, do not feel the need to degrade themselves with cheap stunts. Besides everyone knows bananas have no rhythm and cannot dance for toffee.

Apples are alltogether more highbrow and classy, the Beatles didn't record for Banana, and I don't listen to their music on my Banana Ipod. Hell no - there is clearly only one serious dancing fruit icon in this contest.

Banana's start green, turn yellow and soon there ain't a straight one left in the bunch.

However, I have to go home now as my day is done so I will have to check in on this heavyweight conversation later. Regards.

Maybe so GBFC and perhaps that is why these so called "Apples" are larger and less athletic. Apples do dance for toffee and then they eat it too.

There is no question that while apples may be more highbrow and classy, they do not compare to bananas when it comes to athleticism and grace on the pitch.

If our beloved Fulham were replaced entirely by green Apples they would have been relegated half way through the season. If Fulham were comprised completely of Bananas they would be competing against Barca and Milan next year in the Champions League. Just look at the energy:

OK, I am torn, I love them both.
Since music calms the savage beast, I thought I would bring up some songs.

"The Banana Boat Song"- come Mr. Tally Mon, tally me B-Nana.
(you can picture Harry singing away)

"One Bad Apple"- one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch girl.
    (for all you Osmond fans)

    The Great Unifier:
"The Apple & Banana Song"- I love to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas...(think pre-school).

Can't we all just get along...
