    Wouldnt you say the former was worthy of satire? Especially since it's pretty funny in itself. Wouldnt you say the latter did a pretty good job of it?

    Yet the college punished the male students who put out that satirical flyer. Why would they do that?

    some thoughts:

    1. the pardody is hilarious, although the "word of the day" shouldn't be two words, but that's just the editor in me talking.

    2. the document being parodied reminds me of one of my favorite cartoons: there's an irate woman behind a desk yelling at a customer "THIS IS A FEMINIST BOOKSTORE; THERE IS NO HUMOR SECTION."

    3. Annie Sprinkle has a PhD? I shudder to think of her dissertation topic.**

    Increasingly, colleges are imitating the NFL. If it looks like fun, smash it down. I don't think there's anything in the guy's parody that's more offensive than the old Man Show and 99% of the stand-up comedy out there today.

    Oh, and I can't figure out what your asterisk is referring to. What am I missing?

    Really? I would have thought that school would have been in Dubuque. Man, between reading and posting, that's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back -- and I ain't got all that many left to spare!
