    The game is afoot!

Actually, the game COVERAGE is about 45 minutes from now at 1:30 CST on FSC and Galavision.

Here's the lineup for us[got this from USSSOCCER.COM/matchtracker]:

    ----------- Tim Howard ------------

    Cherundolo – Gooch – Boca – Bornstein

Bradley – Mastroeni – Deuce – Da Bease

    ------- Dempsey -- Ching --------

    Bench:

    G: Hahnemann
    D: DeMerit, Spector
    M: Feilhaber, Convey
    S: Davies, Hill, Zizzo

I like our chances; what say you dudes/dudettes!

PS: And what the heck kind of Swedish name is "Zlatan Ibrahimovich?"

Good to see Cherundolo fit...(He's fit to wear the shirt! He's fit to wear the shirt!).

I'm hopeful to see Convey get a run out as well. The USMNT has a ton to prove and it starts today on foreign soil. USA! USA! USA!

I know Dempsey is a stud but two starting slots, wow! Bradley is a real innovator to clone Duece for this match!

I assume Donovan is starting in one of those slots.

    Oops, I did it again!

Duece is listed as Forward; Donovan is listed as MF [I often refer to him that way myself]

    Sorry for my transcription skills.

Not sure if this is a joke or not, but I his father is either Croatian or Bosnian. Ibrahimovic was actually born in Sweden though. Definitely not your typical Swedish name though. It should be more along the lines of Ibrahimisson.

THIS JUST IN: Ching flunked a late fitness test. Feilhaber is in and the forward line is now Deuce and Donovan. Interesting that our two front men are guys who prefer playing just behind the forward line.

    Boca has the arm band

I picked the starting line-up. I am more and more convinced that Bradley is showing his homerness with BornTooSoon and Bradley.

    first half IMHO

Best US players: Beas, Bornstein, Feilhaber, Howard

Best player too short to play against Sweden: Cherundolo

Best player on the pitch: Ibrahimovich -- I think we're playing him well, but man he's got a lot of clubs in his bag.

We're not doing too badly with 6 midfielders and no strikers.

Worst performance so far -- without a doubt -- Max Bretos!!!!

Sorry about missing the live chat, Christian; not sure I can make it in the 2nd half either.

Ibrahimovic - best player, hands down.

DMB - good, but subject to getting tossed around by big Swedes.

Howard - a face is a beautiful thing to use to black shots.

Gooch - Looks okay so far, and has not gotten beat too bad so that he cannot recover.

    Dempsey - what up, dogg?

Halftime nil-nil in what should be a 1-1 game. So great for the federation to pull the head out and start playing games in Europe w/our Euro-based players. Benny has looked good, Pablo needs to retire from int'l duty, Gooch is getting a great learning experience from Ibra., where's Heath Pearce??

    lol Don on Bretos comment

Well a 0 - 0 score at halftime isn't too bad playing in Europe.

BTW, I'm a bit surprised to see Argentina beat by Norway.

Bradley missed the ball, Feilhaber didn't stay close enough to the shooter, and Gooch got caught watching.

I consider that being taken to school. Hope they all learned something there.

So I take it that the score is now 0 - 1, Swedes? I can't seem to find the match tracker on ussoccer.com.
