Link to another of these diatribes recently appeared on one of the blogs I read. Went looking for it, and saw all these:

As your resident Right Winger {from Don's view, anyway, I actually consider myself a moderate} The arguments put forth are such crocks of shit and I wouldn't hesitate to debate any of these knuckledraggers from the POV that modern soccer is the most free-market sport in the world. Especially on the field.
- example: What sport uses tactic by committee, executed by supreme leader. With constant breaks to adjust strategy?
Gridiron football. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
The argument goes on about the organizations running football 'sharing the wealth. Differs from modern US collegiate and pro sport, how?

Beat me to it HD. Of course they mix in as much capitalism as possible :shock: When an NFL owner cries poor I have to laugh, every team is hand over fist in the black.

 

Any sport that utilizes an American style draft which awards underperforming teams has socialistic characteristics.
