Two months ago I was debating with myself whether or not my Crew season tickets should be renewed. Looking at last years performance explains it all.

Well, they are... but I still havent been following them closely enough to avoid missing games, shown on the TV.

And switching over to BigSoccer to see what's going on with them hadnt helped much, either... just imagine a forum in which the 'Realistics' dominate!

But with the recent warming trend hereabouts, (see Pettyfog Winter Doldrums), I think I'm starting to get into it.

Last week, The Crew played Dallas at Pizza Hut in the first 'Lamar Hunt" tribute game and, once again OWNED the hoops.. this had been one of the few bright spots in '06.. and the old cynics on the board ... including OTHER MLS Club fans are waxing ecstatic over Sigi's team construction.

    Put it this way:
There were three highlights of the 2006 season, for me:

    1. The play of Ricardo Virtuoso
    - His name is spot-on, he's brazilian and Virtuoso should be his sole name.

    2. Crew beating Dallas at Dallas and the team play, which was classic 'beautiful game'

    Last but not least:
    3. The 'Martino/ Wolyniec for Ngwenya/Grabavoy' trade with LA. This was like some big kid (Sigi) in the schoolyard trading a short bus rider (Steve Sampson) a fresh turd wrapped in handi wrap for an unopened Baby Ruth.

    - And that was the gift that will keep on giving, no matter WHAT Beckham does for LA.

Now... if Fulham could only win a game or two >>> While playing well<<<
    I'd be really happy!
