He may be fit again, but will he make his way onto the field as a starter?

Would have to say no on starting. I think MJ sees Diarra and Sidders filling the same role and clearly Diarra is ahead of him. However, glad to see he's feeling better.

Have to admit, I haven't bothered to watch much of the Prem this year, let alone Stoke. According to WhoScored, Sidwell has only played 12 mins in the league this season, with 2 league cup apps. Considering I think we have a decent stable of CMs, I don't really get this one. We're much more in need of wingers, or another striker if and when Dembele leaves.

Yeah, I don't get it. Although we've seen old faces who we thought would never return actually do it (i.e. Diarra and Dempsey).

And why do we want a guy back whose whopping 7 league goals led us to....relegation?

I've watched almost every Stoke match this season -- the only Prem side with an American outfield player -- and I can't remember Sidwell doing anything in the matches he's come on as a sub. I think the last thing we need is a guy who hasn't got match fitness at his age.

I don't think bringing in Sidwell would help much, and if it means that young players like Hyndman go back to the bench then it hurts the team.

Absolutely, unequivocally hell frickin' no! We have no use for a 33 year old box to box midfielder of limited talent.
