The manager of an underperforming London team that wears black and white has been fired for poor team performance largely caused by a Swiss Cheese defense.

    And it ain't Lawrie!

Martin Jol was evidently fired as I was watching the end of the UEFA Cup tie on FSC. Thought he was a decent bloke and an honest interview. I'll bet the folks on the Offal are already touting him as our new boss.

Jol is a cool dude... but probably not the upper echelon management Tottenham needs. Did a nice job with them though. And yes, the createns on the Offal are already moronically touting him as a replacement for Sanchez.

RE: Ramos for Spurs, quits Sevilla

As I have mentioned many times - I am a huge Spurs fan.

Many of you have read or heard the reports - Jol was doomed from the beginning this season. His authority was undermined with the reported pictures of spurs ownership courting Ramos. He was a lame duck.

Things were looking terrible, and then - berbatov refuses to come out and play when he is called on. That was the knife in the heart for me. I watch every step that man takes and try to get it into my game, but then I felt like he was just a big whining baby...

In the end, I think Jol was done wrong. If he was to come to Fulham it would give me hope of avoiding the drop. I say bring him in.

I thought Spurs wore blue and white. :?:

I'm not espousing firing Lawrie, but if we WERE to fire him, we could certainly do worse than Jol as a replacement.

Well, I remember them as black and white from the 60s, but perhaps they've changed in recent years.

Must be very bizarre supporting two teams...espeically when one of them is the scum from north london.

Supporting 2 clubs isnt that big of a deal. There isnt a great rivalry between the 2 clubs. Well - not like Tottenham and Arsenal or Fulham and Chelsea.

I stated this previous, but Spurs is my team - I got interested in Fulham due to the American players. Now that I have followed them for a couple of seasons I am getting a soft spot in my heart for the little club on the river.

So what can I do? I just follow them both.

    What to do?
Pick a Club that at least doesn't play in the same league as Fulham. I wouldn't look to the Soda Pop either.

The sunday supplement they were talking about the negative effect of the "Director of Football" and how that is taking power from the manager and keeping him from getting the player he needs to build a club.

What is up with that - first time I have heard of that position.

I don't think it's that big of a deal - I certainly have more than one - but it's, I think, atypical to support more than one that are in direct competition.

That said, at least you have your priorities set in your mind.
