    Up to now, any searches you did on-line have been used to tailor on-line ads to your interests. This requires the Search Engine to retain info about what you look for on the web.

    Enough people are hinky about this that ASK{dot}COM is introducing a new optional privacy feature: 'Ask Eraser'.. which will fix the problem.
