Even if his statements are to be dismissed as mere bluster, I still am stoked to hear the words "Fulham" and "cup final" discussed in the same sentence. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 922513.stm
I agree. I've said for a long time that it's the only way we'd get into Europe. Other sides can trash the League Cup and the Intertoto. I have gone through a couple of good cup runs, and there's really nothing like it. I'm liking Sanchez more and more every day. COYW!
Championships are made of inspiration, perspiration and a little good fortune along the way. Sounds like LS is working on the first part to me.
This confidence is refreshing. If you're not building a team with the goal to win any kind of title; then what's the point? So what if it's not likely; the point of competitions and tourneys is to win it all - why not Fulham?
To be fair, we heard that last season too, until the Spurs debacle. Optimistic talk is good and all that, but it's just talk until you back it up.
RE: Re: Sanchez Confident LS has a certain swagger that I value in in a manager. He is not over confident, but he ventures to say his ambitions definitely exceed past season's accomplishments. If he can do for Fulham what he did for NI then we have a lot to look forward to.
I don't know; I don't recall hearing it from Coleman's mouth. He rarely showed ambition, it was always survive and maybe we'll sneak in to the top ten. Sanchez is sticking his neck out and showing serious ambition, I appreciate it.
