Just a short comment about the Revs-LA match the other night. Beckham was outstanding. It may have been because the Revs neglected to mark him very often, but his performance must have been similar to his EPL days. He was a constant threat to put the ball right on the money into the box every time he touched it. He scored LA's only goal when the Rev's defense let the ball pop out to the top of the box and he ran onto it and pounded it into the net on a deflection. His control was amazing all night. Great fun to watch.

I've enjoyed watching Beckham since his coming over. Sometimes I swear we are lucky to have him. I don't think it is too far of a stretch to say he has almost single handedly helped transform LA in to genuine threats. But when he leaves, the trick will be to see if that lasts.

It's a good thing Beckham has lived up to his billing. He and Donovan are the only really sure-fire MLS starters on Galaxy offense. Buddle is high in the stats but believe me he wouldnt be if it werent for Beckham and Donovan.

GBS at Columbus has 8 assists - more than Becks or Landycakes- and set up many more.

I am a big MLS fan but I thought the first half of the LA-NE match produced a lot of lifeless play from LA. The Revs played well and should have put LA away early. The game got interesting in the second half when Donovan entered the match. The Beckham-Donoavn pairing is fun to watch.

I know I am a Columbus homer at this point but the truly fun match to watch this weekend was Columbus and Chicago. End to end action from the kickoff to the final whistle. Jaime Moreno may not be the flashiest forward in the league but the man does make things happen.

I imagine the 50 people who have MLS Network, or whatever it is called, enjoyed the only interesting match-up of the weekend.

(TBT, I watched a little on the internet.)
