Remaking 'Dune'

    Well, It COULDNT be worse than the first attempt which was a piece of disjointed crap, emoted by scenery-chewing half-ass actors on drugsat the max.. David Lynch a clue to that?

    Unfortunately, though it's going to need a massive scenario rewrite to be any good. The book was a chore to read.. I only managed by assuring myself it HAD to get better. It didnt.

    I know. Maybe... a video game!

    I liked the book Dune but I have yet to see a television/movie version worthy of the novel itself.

    Just occurred to me that Dune HAS been successfully done.....And Kevin Bacon did it.

    Look at the range of comments there.
    There's only ONE opinion that's right, though. If Berg tries for 'cinematic art', it'll be a disaster.

    Check out the idiot who calls for Dweezil Zappa to work the soundtrack. Be better if he could actually spell his name.

    The references to Herbert, and his estate's, disapproval say it ALL in my opinion. The guy took himself too seriously.. maybe THAT's why I didnt exactly care for the book. Those things show.
