http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...el-De-Jong-to-be-sold-by-Manchester-City.html Apparently the kung-fu expert thinks he is worth more than the raise Man City offered him. He turned down their contract extension. I hope he leaves Man City . . . and gets no where.
The guy is a cheapshot waiting to happen and one of the dirtiest players it's been my misfortune to see play...However, (can't believe I'm about to semi-defend him here) I think this is less about money and more about playing. He's started only 4 games this whole season (tells you how laughable that 100 best players in the world list is since he was ranked in there), and any self respecting player would find that unacceptable. Unless he is a complete idiot (not putting it past him) he has to realize that there are a only couple teams in the world that could give a defensive mid that kind of cash. A big raise is nice, but if I was already a multi-millionaire, actually starting while still in the prime of my career would be a priority. **What is really telling about that article is how much Monopoly money Citeh can throw around. A 25% raise to 100K at week for a bench guy?? :angry-banghead:
