Im a newbie here only from hearing about Wynalda today on the Rome show. Eric and I played together for years and Cobi Jones was on our team a couple years also (he really wasnt very good as a youth, at all). Anther guy on our team was Matt Franco, I think he plays baseball for the cubs now or did, he is Kurt Russel's nephew (Kurt came to some games and got red carded for yelling at the refs and thrown off the entire area of the games going on). Eric on the other hand, a couple years,. he scored more goals himself than the whole division of teams combined. So we won the state championship back in the day. Im glad Eric ripped into Rome.

Yes, AS.. we can fully identify.

Sorry no one responded immediately but we've had our hands full with the site suddenly becoming famous or notorious.

I turned my opinion on Eric around when he did the Studio Analysis on the WC. While Foudy was only able to 'make nice', he had some real insight.

Welcome To FUSA, anyway. We have some lively {but not overly antagonistic} discussions on US and MLS as well as Fulham soccer

Welcome Archstanton, its been an interesting few days and on more than just the Wynalda interview.

I'm also glad Eric ripped Rome...he had it coming and I'm all for being upfront on my opinions.

I got tons of pictures of Eric as a youth (bottom row 2nd from right)when we played soccer togther, his dad was usually the coach(top right). Even on off practice days you could find Eric in the park across the street from his house being screamed at by his dad and brother "get the goddamn ball Eric"!!!!!!. This is the last year he played AYSO, and the 2 years before we played club ball, only playing AYSO so we could dominate and just have fun.

I have not forgotten. That plan is still on my radar.

Perhaps this fall, as junior can start playing this year.
