New York, oil money and the Yankees

    It is official that New York will receive the 20th MLS franchise.

    Deadspin: "MLS has announced its 20th team: New York City FC, which will begin play in 2015, in a yet-to-be-determined stadium. It'll be owned by Manchester City, in partnership with the New York Yankees. It will be sponsored by oil and evil."

    They will play be playing in Major League Soccer so I am going to call them by their American name - New York City Soccer Franchise. Ha, what a stupid name. I understand why Garber and MLS did this, but it doesnt make it right. They will be fun to hate and I will hate them even more than the awful tasting Energy Drinks. They will also fail as neither Man City or the Yankees can succeed without spending gobs more than everyone else.
