New US Jerseys 2015

I am feeling you Heather. It reminds me of a sprinters outfit. Why Nike? Why?

 

Throw out the crest and red triangle, and it's a shirt that was 'in' circa 1987. Maybe it will look better in person. Wasn't planning on getting a jersey until the Copa version next year and this hasn't changed my mind.

 

Whatever Nike. I can't afford them anyway, regardless of how they look. Until they go on sale.

 

I really wish Nike would figure out that they're designing the NATIONAL team jersey. This isn't some college that they've paid to allow them to experiment with new (and insane) designs. Most of the established soccer powers have very classic and immediately identifiable kits. Nobody sees Argentina on TV and wonders which newly formed eastern European team is trying to stand out. They know it's Argentina!

We need to stick with simple, classic, red, white, and blue.

And since you mentioned Argentina, what about the Croats and their red and white chequers? Nike don't mess with them, do they? But then that begs the question...what constitutes "simple," "classic"
red, white and blue?
Thoughts?

 

I was thinking they looked like a cycling top. Regardless, they're terrible.

Nike hasn't been all bad though. The shirts were good the World Cup before last. Don has one. And last Cup's whites were fine. I wasn't a fan of the bombpops.
