Greetings. I have been a long time American soccer fan who follows the college game, MLS, the U.S. national team, and the World Cup, but not the rest of the world in non-WC years. After watching much of EURO2008, I realized I was depriving myself of some incredibly talented futbol so like Joe Posnanski, I set out on a quest to find a team to adopt.

At the time Clint Dempsey left the New England Revolution to play for Fulham last year, I was disappointed but didn't look into where he was going. As I recently began investigating the world for a team to take into my heart, I stumbled across Fulham and lo and behold, there are Dempsey, Johnson, and Keller. More net meandering led me to find that my company's London HQ is 3.5 miles from Craven Cottage. I then later found the FulhamUSA site and after browsing the forum, it became apparent that the Cottagers had captured my imagination. It doesn't take a genius to realize that being a Fulham follower must be my destiny.

So here I am, the newest FFC fan. A little about myself -- I attend about 35-40 college matches each fall (mostly Big East and Ivy League - both men and women) and am a dedicated follower of MLS, especially the Revolution, on TV. I try to catch every game that is available on standard cable, frequently taping matches if it is not convenient to watch live. As the EPL season approaches, I will have some questions about following FFC over the net, e.g. whether Setanta Sports or some other broadband provider shows the Fulham matches. But for now, I have taken up enough space for my first post and I look forward to a long association with FFC and FulhamUSA. :3d footy:

Welcome, I just got here yesterday.

Personally, I pay $15 a month for Setanta Broadband and I like it a lot. They put all their matches on demand so you can watch them whenever you want. For those of us who are college students or recent graduates who can't afford tivo and stuff like that but have weird schedules it helps a lot.

also, for those of us old enough to have been brought up on sports on radio, the official Fulham site offers "FulhamTV" which in addition to bringing you match highlights and compilation clips, provides "Matchlive" so that you can listen to all the FFC matches called by Gentleman Jim. Many of us are addicted, have a year-long subscription, and listen in when there's no live TV.

Wecome aboard, Coog; have some fun while you're here!

    Cheers Coog (& Boomer),
You will find this a very welcoming site, you will never feel beat up for asking questions. Now being a fan of everything Fulahm that is a different story. Keep your hands and arms in the car, it can be a bumpy ride, but you will love every minute.
