I just posted this on 'Page 2':
It's good to see that Lawrie Sanchez said exactly what he thought after the Arsenal game.
Obviously his charges of diving infuriated almost everyone in the gooner camp. And it might embarrass some Fulham fans that they were mostly wrong. But it doesnt bother me. I dont think his view was predicated on how he might use that to impress his players, or us fans. I think that's really the way he saw it.
That's good... it shows an honesty we want to see in our manager. It would be idiotic to think a manager must always couch his comments in some pragmatic way so as not to offend.

Yeah, I like that he just talks and he talks for awhile. A lot of managers don't say much. Again, I think he knows his limitations as a manager. He's not trying to fake it.

I believe we do ‘get it’. Mr. Sanchez has every right to question the Arsenal players for diving. Several pundits have also questioned the Arsenal players for diving and there is some good evidence that 2 of the 4 penalty shouts were dives (including the one that was given), although I will happily concede that one of the shouts that was not given looked like a pen to me.

Until the laws of the game are changed to give a severe enough penalty to offenders then diving will continue as a tactical part of the game, whether we like it or not.

I feel your sad diatribe is more about Arsenal fan’s fears that Spurs will finish above them this season and that they are now looking more like a bunch of also runs with Liverpool leapfrogging them as the 3rd of the big 3, than a considered and balanced consideration of the argument of diving in the professional game, but thanks for the visit.
