Not an Arsenal fan heh Steve? I don't really have an interest in any of the Big 4, but I respect Arsenal and Wenger the most of those teams. They just seem to do more with less $$'s being thrown around. I do think this creates a compelling opportunity for Aston Villa though. They maybe able to get themselves a Champions League berth for next year if they continue the form they have shown so far this year. It will be close with them and Arsenal for that 4th spot.

I am hoping that Villa takes Newcastle down today so their confidence will be shaken a bit for Sunday. :) Love the avatar baby!!!

well, they didn't. Martins scored twice and Newcastle are a point above us now.

but, you know what? With all the attention to Spurs and all the Arsenal trashing lately, this site is beginning to look like a Tottenham site. Just sayin'

Could "I beat Arsenal 2008-09" be this year's "I scored against Derby County 2007-08"?

Wenger may throw less money around but he accomplishes it by raiding other teams' most talented youngsters. It's effective (and in WSM too - I've amassed Fulham quite a pool of young talent that way) but if I'm Barcelona (Fabregas) or KB (Bendtner) or Monaco (Traore), I would find it to be pretty obnoxious.

Damn it all to hell! Is this the bizzaro EPL this last weekend or what? Why can't the teams, that should lose....lose...like Fulham.

    Villa loses to Newcastle
    Stoke beats Arsenal
    Wigan beats Pompey
    Hulls scores 3 on Manure
    Tottenham takes unbeaten Liverpool
and to top it all off......

Bolton makes Man City look like Man shitty.....what the hell?

sometimes, even round balls bounce funny

Wigan/Pompey was played in a car wash.
Liverpool hit the post over and over and Spurs were dead lucky.

Aside from that, who knows? You'd have made a bundle on a trifecta calling for Arsenal, Villa, and Liverpool to lose those matches.

Should be time to kick the zebra's ass on Sunday.

By doing more with less - do you mean that they have done more winning of nothing with less?

Its obvious - I cant stand Arsenal... They used to be this crap team that played boring football. There is a reason the American version of "Fever Pitch" used Boston in place of Arsenal.

Now - they act like they are the shining example and are playing football at and in a way that is above everyone else... As if they are carrying some kind of spiritual standard.

Well - I call BS, and I think that they encourage the critical comments because of their pretentious nature.

If we are only interested in Fulham talk then we should get rid of this forum.

Nah, other than 2 days a year I don't have anything against Arsenal, that's Jens' department. What I thought was funny about that article was how Sorensen, in a polite and as noncontroversial a fashion as he could, called Arsenal out for having no toughness. I especially liked his reaction to Van Persie's mental midgetry, he is an Arsenal player I really don't like or respect, the shining example in Arsenal's side of a mincing ballerina who folds under pressure and/or contact. His richly deserved red card was the stupidest maneuver I have seen on the pitch in a long time. If a junior high school student did that, he would get sat down. Nice job RVP.

Also, Jens, how about we keep this forum. Just as you can't stand Arsenal, I can't stand Bad Soap Opera FC, in a twisted reason that is why I have the heinous avatar that I do for the week. By all means, slam away at the Gunners to your hearts content, and when the Never any danged good United Farcical Club irritates me, then I want to do the same.

COME ON FULHAM!!! 3 POINTS THIS WEEKEND!!!

I watched the RVP incident again last night on Fox Fone-In and I can't believe he did that, I agree it was about as stupid as anything I have seen so far as a fan. Arsenal are in big trouble right now. RVP out for 3 games. Walcott our for an extended period of time and Adebayor hurt as well. I also agree with Sorenson that Arsenal is not a very tough side right now.

Anyone see Barton flick his hand into the face of Aghonba.... whatever his name is last night? That dude Barton is never going to get it.

There is a good competing show on Setanta now where they have fans in the audience live. It was a pretty good who last night. Couple of ex-players and an ex-ref. Very good banter going back and forth on why call penalties on shirt grabbing in the box and why not. It made for good viewing.

More on Arsene, being a horse's ass.

Hey, Arsene, how about this. Next time you play any other team that'll breathe hard on Van Persie or Walcott, how about we tie their starting eleven up in duct tape and barbed wire?, We'll even break the goalkeeper's hands too, just for you Arse(ne).

Where the hell is this guy's head? Does he think that teams should just lay down and get their whoopin'? RH, next time we go to the Emirates, how about only putting 5 guys on the pitch so we don't cause any pain to Arsene and his delicate sensibilities? What a jerk. Arsène Wenger est un cheval de l'âne.
