Only 2 inter-division games and in each the underdog won.

LA finally decided to react against the joke they have become and beat DC at RFK, 3-2.
    - Landon D, I mean the REAL LD finally showed up for the Gals.

The Crew not playing particularly well, beat an even more un-inspired FC Dallas, 1-0 on an OG or Cornell Glen tap-in of an across end-line Crossing ball by Chris Henderson.
    - notable: There's been a LOT of these lately... a well placed cross into a crowded box seems almost good as a shot from the 25 in its chances!

    - note: Dallas have not won since 6/25. Why is this notable? Because Dallas is still second in the west table; Which points out how bad the west teams are.. and because that date matches the start of the Crew unbeaten string of 18 last season.
Colin Clarke should be mindful of that.. it is NOT a given that "the wins will come!"

It was also a weekend for the "MLS orphans" to shine:
San Jose, whom we presume the league (and, maybe, AEG) wishes would "just go away" stayed top of West table .. such as it is.. beating MLS darlings RSL.

And on-the-block KC spanked the Fire 3-0, perhaps to add some sparkle to their prospective buyer{s}, if there really are any.
    - Note to Sarachan: I dont really think it has much to do with your results, but maybe a coach can jinx his team by essentially saying they are a bunch of 'nobodies'

    Sunday, Chivas visits Giants Cavern.
Watch out, Mr Bradley.. things sometimes happen in weird order!
    A - Andrulis > W - Warzycha
    B - Bradley? > Y - Yallop?

    My pick:
    ChivasNorte 3-1 Mutts
    Read THIS!
    - MLS treads dangerously close to the concept that actually killed the NASL

And WHY do these players want to play in the US?
    - Humbly suggest there is MORE to it than that, Mr Garcia... and there are more americans than that in Europe, the rest never having been in MLS

Come ON Mutts, Whip their ARSES!

I was at the DC game and after a good start, the DC ers seemed jsut a steop behind LA the rest of the night. The own goal (a nice shot, by the way) didn't help, either. :(

I guess the lesson learned is:
"Doesnt matter if the squirrel is blind, dont leave your nuts lying about!"

The same goes for the MetroStars..I REALLY want them to humble Chiv-ass. I mean get them down and kick them, bash their teeth out and bite off their ears!

All just figurative speech, of course!

Well, Palencia and MF Juan Pablo Garcia had an immediate effect.. Palencia getting 2 and Garcia 1.

In fact, it looked like I would nail the score.... as it was 3-1 Chivas at the half...

Guevara made the first goal on a ? pk and another pk on a flat wrong call.

But when he got the 3rd goal it was from a Youri setup freekick at the 30, Guevara then nailing a perfect into the upper right corner.

In a way, I suppose Chivas were thwarted because they had the best of the Mutts. But they are no longer to be looked past.
