    BUFC?

    And MORE fun

Lure? Doesnt that mean like 'hijack'? Ridiculous.. who ever heard of a nice city like Baltimore doing that?

And who would they 'lure'? I mean every freaking team either has a SSS or is building one, or has a stadium/owner tie.. right? Right?

    Oh.. wait.....

    RE: BUFC?

Neither the District nor any of the DC Metro counties are willing to pony up public funds to support a SSS for DCU. DCU loses money every year that they use RFK and if they're going to move, a move to Baltimore would at least keep half of their current fans attending games and would bring in those Baltimore soccer fans who don't regularly attend DCU games today. i.e., after a blip in attendance due to being the "new thing" attendance levels would probably approximate the current levels.

As for the name change, if you want to bring in new Baltimore fans, you can't name the club "DC anything"; there is an understated sports rivalry between the cities; some Baltimore soccer fans don't support DCU purely on principle; they'll support the Union first (Philly is ok, Pittsburgh is not).

That and on the east coast, unlike in the rest of the country, you cannot have a team play 40 miles away from its "home".

I would also add that DC and Bmore are light-years apart in so many ways, not just in sports. Well, except for a corrupt city hall...

uh, no.... Look at the thread starting post: "Collins John signs with..."

That, in itself, labels the thread to the discerning reader, of which I assume you consider yourself .. one... 'miscellaneous crap.'

Do you REALLY think after all this time I dont know how to organize?

And BTW... didnt ANYONE watch that video I linked. TWICE ????

    'Szetela moving to...?'

If you did dont you get it? I thought it was hilarious... maybe you guys think it's normal.

    Oh, well....

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE spect, just a little bit

I'm with the distinguished gentleman from Evansville on this one. My confusion last night -- well, that confusion that didn't result from my medicaton -- stemmed from trying to extrapolate BUFC from CJ signing with the Fire.

On the other hand, I'm only posting now to clear out the subject line so that folks can see what the thread is about.

    or not

From the Crew GBS catchall-thread. Yeah, he has his own

    Adn the answer from
Sounds right to me. Spec in Columbus for two years that Guille would retire at Crew and start his coaching career here.

I thought that was dumb. But maybe not.

    RE: Third Time

He's obviously after that "most MLS transfers one player" trophy currently held by Jeff Cunningham.

What two things do these guys have in common?

    1. Great talent
    2. No class
