The Crew needed a replacement for Elliot, and Sigi signed a guy to replace him, on much the same grounds as Simon was signed by Fulham.

Crew Adds Croatian Journeyman Bisaku To Roster
To most Crew fans this brings memories of previous eastern europe disasters, specifically a guy named Rzepa who was brought in from Polish 2nd div and looked like a deer in the headlights, on the pitch. A defender from Coventry, I think, named Williams being another.

One wonders if MLS managers REALLY think that the league is at such a low level that you can bring in people that cant stick with a euro first or second division club and have it turn out well.

It's all well to look at the early Fire team and say it might work out, but they were the exception, I think... more to the point is the failure of Matteus with NY, faced with reality, he was having none of it.
Consider that the European/South American players that have carved out a niche, are coincidence or not, those that already have a name!

Valderrama, being the showcase... currently Stoitchkov is another.

I believe it's time for MLS to recognize that the level of skill might not be up to Euro standards, but level of PLAY is NOT the same thing.
