Thanks Barry for link, it was quite interesting if not a little confusing on the 'Generation Addidas' contract (only 1 player every 3 years can be signed??) in contrast with the developmental squads.

I found the current rules for signing developmental squad players pretty baffling myself. It seems to me that under the current rules there is not a lot if incentive for MSL teams to invest to heavily in develpmental squads.

Hmmmm... MLS and all their rules. Stupid.

Best Academy in the Country? Brad Friedel's! Pay to play is a broken system of the 90's that has limited the talent that get a looks. Why do you think that the top college programs have a good number of international players? Time to get with it and let talent, not your parent support or income, decide who has an opportunity.

I am just glad we finally have someone who has the money to step out and show that the - free to player, residency - style system can work. Let the revolution begin!
