    And so do a lot of commenters. Mostly about watching it during Med School.

    My niece also said it influenced her. Glad that it wasnt 90210, which she adored in her early teens.

    And now we have ... House

    Do you remember the ORIGINAL ER? With Eliot Gould, and the crazy Filipina? "Stay back of the white line!"

    Classic.

    As for NBC's soap doctor, I never watched a minute. And promos for each of the 871 "very special ERs" convinced me that I made the right decision.

    I stopped watching House a season or so ago. I couldn't take 60 minutes of non-stop abuse every week. I know that people in New Jersey own shotguns. Certainly one of them would have done away with Gregory by now in the real world.

    The only "doctor" show I watch now is Private Practice, but that's only because I watch re-runs of Kate Walsh's old Caddilac ads. Voof!
