Dunno if all you guys saw this... it's not really 'news' as he's the clear-cut favorite, as 'poster boy' if nothing else.

Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber announced the RadioShack MLS All-Time Best XI, as selected by fans, general managers and media ....

At forward is Columbus Crew original Brian McBride, who led Columbus with his head, and his feet, for eight seasons and now plays at English Premier League club Fulham FC. The first pick in the 1996 inaugural draft, McBride quickly set about demonstrating his aerial prowess and goal scoring ability. Fearless in the box and tireless in his play, he's the Crew's all-time leading scorer with 62 goals and was named an All-Star in all eight of his seasons (1996-2003) in the league. A veteran of three World Cup teams, McBride became the first true soccer star to be born in Major League Soccer.

"I'm very honored to be named to a team with such a distinguished group of players," said McBride. "I thoroughly enjoyed playing in MLS, and to represent the Columbus Crew and their fans. I'd like to thank all of the players and staff that I was fortunate to be involved with, from the day I started until the day I left. I look forward to eventually be playing in MLS again.
