Marion Jones given max sentence

Marion Jones has been sentenced to 6 months in jail, the maximum sentenced in this case. The prosecution wasnt even asking for it; this is something the judge decided to do. I'm not sure I agree with this. These are crimes Jones will not repeat as her current husband is not a slimeball so she wont have to lie to protect the father of her child and she has no need for performance enhancing drugs anymore. So she's being taken away from her children as a deterrence to other's who may pontentially lie under oath.
