Here's an obtuse, but interesting thought. What if we could trade Amorebieta for Jones?

One thing you like about both guys is they take no crap from nobody. JJ has been nothing short of a major success story for the Nats, and by all accounts a model professional for NE (at least until the playoffs). He wants to move out west, and he's got next to no leverage. Would the Quakes have a need for him @nevzter?

 

The Quakes could use him - he could be cover at CB (SJQ already have Bernardez and Goodson at CB for starters), but he would start in a defensive midfield spot for the Quakes tomorrow. Brand new stadium, every match is a sellout and a team on the rise - yeah, Jones would be an asset for the Quakes.

EDIT: Avaya also contains North America's largest outdoor bar. 'nuff said.

Like for like IMO.

Stick with the younger guy who's been in the league for a couple years now and knows the players, teams, culture, etc.

 

Jermaine seems to have developed a little personal discipline the last couple of seasons, at least with the national side. Love Bite, not so much.

 

And Jermaine lands in Colorado, where (supposedly) he'll be joined by Tim Howard.
