I wouldnt care much about it except it is within a figurative 'stone's throw' of where I grew up.. and where I live now. Or Don might say, A Decent Howitzer Lob.

It was the place we all went by to see 'real live hippies' in the sixties. It was at the forefront of any idea that was to later become PC. Most nationally notable: A student drawn 'contract for permission for sexual contact'.

But it was the first place anywhere around where the chicks went bra-less (and we quickly got the downside of that).

It was where we could hear street speeches by Marxists, right in the middle of farmland Ohia. It was where my cousin's funeral was accompanied by an anti-nam war demonstration. But even we knuckledraggers got over that.

What's notable is that the subsidiary school, McGregor school is remaining open. Because it serves corporate managers who want to fast-track graduate and post-grad degrees.

I'll miss having our own private Berkeley!
