How many here think that England would improve the quality and tenacity of their squad by recallng Paul Konchesky?

I realize that with both the Scum's LB's in the squad, McLaren isn't hurting there, but for my money PK is the most productive English LB right now.

    Nicky Shorey (Reading).

Konchesky is a good defender, but is not as good as Shorey when attacking. Cole has more pace and defends ok, but he can't send a cross in to save his life.

Okay, call me too sensitive, but calling The Konch, "Alien" seems disrespectful.

Yule Brenner, however.............he was the mack.

Could England do worse than the Konch? Absolutely.

Could they do as good or better? Rare circumstance, but possibly.

Yeah, Konch is funny-looking but he's no Pierluigi Collina.

I'd just like to say how impressed I am with Konch. I thought he'd be shite. Let's be honest, he didn't shower himself in glories at West Ham...but he has done ever so well, even if he should have scored against fulham broadway......

Mclaren is too stupid to call him up, but I agree he definitely should be given a recall. One of the better performers on the season for the club in my opinion
