Interesting, I thought for sure he preferred a 4-1-2-3 or something along those lines. But it was good to hear him say that a 4-4-2 may play to the strength of the US. But he could not line-up 2 forwards for 90 mins in the previous matches because he did not have 2 forwards available to play 90 minutes? Hmm...time will tell if he does put out line-ups that play to the squad's strength. Still interested to see where Dempsey and Donovan line-up when they're both on the field at the same time.

That's a difficult one to buy for many reasons. You're telling me our forwards have never been asked to defend, have never been able to go a full 90. These are also friendlies where he is supposedly trying players, letting them prove themselves, having them learn what he expects . . . so how about three or four forwards. We've got Josy, Buddle, Findley, Juan, Bunbury, Wondo, Sapong, and many more that are worth a look.

It seems he is constantly condescending about our talent. I know it's not the level of Spain, Germany, Holland, etc but there are plenty of teams we have to play in important matches that we are better than. Can we not do a 4-3-3 against them? I listen to him talk and I swear his first order of business is to lower our expectations, and I have to wonder why that is.

If we're really that damn bad, why'd he bother taking the job? C'mon. Maybe it's a psychological ploy or something. Annoying.

I think his approach is more along the lines of breaking down the squad in order to rebuild with his vision intact. Annoying? Yes. Effectual? We'll see...
