ManU to Houston to Cardiff City. Cooper is definitely on a different path.

We'll see if this is, indeed, his destination. I thought that Rosenberg had him locked up. If it is Cardiff, he'll at least be with a team trying to get promoted. It didn't hurt Convey or Hahnemman to be with a successful CCC side.

Not exactly a move "up", but a change would be good. I had no clue who Cooper was until the All-Star game, and man did he look like a brick house up front! The man has no freakin' neck!!

CCC is a good move, I don't know about Cardiff -- wouldn't he want a team with a realiztic chance at promotion?

Convey is almost as useless as Taylor Twellman at the international level. Not saying it's because he's playing for Reading, just throwing it out there.

Cardiff at least believe they have a realistic chance. They've made some high-profile signings recently, had a good run of form early last season, and made the FA Cup final. It's not like he's talking to Barnsley or Colchester.

and Josh, Convey was doing fine for us until he went through a rash of injuries. I don't think he's been in top physical shape since he was last ... in the CCC!

That's true, I suppose, but until he scores some goals for the Nats I'll continue to think of him as Justin Mapp on a better team rather than DaMarcus Beasley on a worse one.

You're absolutely right, because as they say . . "Beggars can be choosers."

I can hear the rejection now . . "Sorry, Cardiff . . the way I see it, the best way for me to make it back to Europe is to wait for that bid from Manchester United that I know is on it's way soon while I continue to prove myself on the grand stage that is the MLS . . aaaaanyday now . . aaaanyday."

One thing we cannot say about Kenny is he does not have ambition. With his size and foot skills I am hopeful that he will be a bit hit in CCC.

If he were wearing black and white, I'd think of Luton's old #9 Steve Howard. Steve was and is a stalwart CCC centre-forward. If Derby had sold him this time last season and bought a decent EPL striker, they might have ... nah, they still would have sucked.

But yeah; Cooper's game is probably better suited to the CCC than to the EPL.

What I was referring to, you cybersnipers, was last year when EJ looked at Derby's offer and said no thank you and waited for a better offer to come around from the reigning Fantasy European Champions, Fulham, to sweep him off his feet.

Cooper is just sort of an odd looking footy player............
Makes me wonder if that may always prevent him from going too far.

Good luck to him. I think it will be a good showcase, either helping the club into contention or getting them offers to move him up.

Let's face it, he's under the radar much of the time even when it comes to his National Team appearances.

and this is something I haven't been able to understand. He's big, he's tough to run off the ball. He scores goals. He was on United's books. He scored on his USMNT debut, but hardly anyone talks about him as a contributor to WC2010.

good luck to the lad as well, and good luck to Terrapin Abe Thompson who'll have to take over his role at FCD

Honestly didn't know the club could do that after MLS had accepted a bid.
