How, in your view, does the current side compare now, in terms of personnel and style, to that which you joined when you signed?

Well, I think we are more organised now. The style of football has also improved, and we now play some very good football. I think the team has certainly progressed in the time that I have been here and we look very strong and compact. Teams now come away from playing us saying, “that team plays some great football” and that is nice to hear. We have some very good footballers here and in Mark Schwarzer, Olivier Dacourt and Danny Murphy we have a lot of experience. There is a lot of quality in this team and I think that has been shown a lot this season. There are some very, very good players here.

I found Dacourt's inclusion interesting. Must be proving an asset on the training grounds?
