    Uh, terrible news.

I was banking on Kamara having a huge year worthy of the transfer.

I didnt realize Fulham had their hopes on off loading him. He may not have been worth 6mil but he was definitely one of our most valuable players.

Better now, than after the transfer window closes.

Did Roy's plans in the transfer market involve off-loading DioK? Hopefully, he's not under any tight restriction regarding the wage structure.

No doubt about it Lobo. Same could be said for Healy (if he stays at Fulham). If those two belong at this level, then this may very well be a defining opportunity to prove it.

Almost forgot Mr. Collins John. The challenge has been put to him as well.

    From the offal:

"There was some disappointing news from Motspur Park on Tuesday regarding Joe Kamara. The striker ruptured a cruciate during Senegal’s recent match against Liberia and will undergo reconstructive surgery on his knee this Friday. The Club estimates that Diomansy will be out of action for six months."

Also, Niemi has suffered a wrist injury:
"The Club can also confirm that Antti Niemi has had surgery on a wrist injury last Saturday. The injury was not significant and Antti should be back in training in around three weeks time."

I didn't believe FFC's current strikers were going to cut it over a full season and that was when Kamara was healthy. I hope a striker is the #1 priority now that July 1st has rolled around.

Maybe between now and the beginning of the year HD's "grown ass man" will suffer a head knock and awake with a first team striker mentality...I can hope, can't I?

According to the Official site, Kamara had reconstructive knee surgery and is expected to be out until at least January. I would guess more like February or March.

With Kamara injured, our forwards aren't going to strike fear in many back lines (and probably not with him healthy): Nevland, Healy, John, and Johnson. Let's hope someone steps up and leads the line or/and Roy has a plan to bring someone in.

With the way he finished the season and the addition of his old mate Gera a double-digit goal season was not 'crazy thinking'.
