Great article. Thanks for the link. McBride is the kind of guy one would follow to the ends of the earth. It's not often that we find that kind of leadership in professional sports. He says what he has to say on the pitch. Is there anybody else out there like him?

 

Good read, and how fitting ol' Ironhead scored the game winner in what might have been his final home match.

By the way, has anyone noticed that last year we just avoided relegation and also how significant Brian’s contribution was? Similarly, if we avoid the drop this year, wouldn’t it be reasonable to suggest that Brian’s contribution was as significant this season as last season?

Is it any wonder he gets the best reception from the fans at the Cottage?

It will be a shame to see the likes of McBride and Friedel exit the scene in England. They've both been a credit to this country, exemplars of courage and character our athletes would do well to follow.
