While screwing aroung I found this on another message board, and thought it would be cool to post here. Let's here what you all have to say; please answer the following questions:

    1.) Screenname Meaning?

2.) What made you fall in love with the beautiful game? I guess this would be mostly the province of us Yanks on this board.

    3.) Favorite/Least player? Of the Non-Fulham variety.

    4.) Favorite Football moment?

    5.) Favorite Fulham player?

    6.) Least favorite Fulham player?

    7.) Favorite Footy announcer?

    8.) Least favorite footy announcer?

    1) My name and last initial, and 19 was the number I wore patrolling the back line for various feared, intimidating club teams in my small hometown in Ohio.

    2) It was the game I was best at growing up, and in my adult years I've learned there are no more passionate fans than those of their footy teams. And we're not being solicited for a truck/ wireless service/ fast food every 3 minutes like in the NFL.

    3) Favorite -- Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. And, I have to say, I like listening to Zola talk and I am sorry I never got to see him play. Shame about his team though. Non favorite -- to name a few, Marco Materazzi, Flake-ian Barthez, John Terry, Jose Morinho, Arjen Robben, oh hell, the entire blue half of SW6.

    4) Scoring a goal off a free kick from just outside the box, 1 of 2 I scored in 8 years, The keeper went back to catch the ball and was standing behind the line when he got it. Hey, they can't all be works of art. As far as on the professional level, I got to say Man United scoring the 2 goals in injury time to win the Euro Cup and the treble. That still is thrilling to this day.

    5) I'm still learning about the Ws history, but I would like to think Ironhead would fare pretty well against his forebears. That is a tough, lionhearted man.

    6) Chris Zat Baird Knight. I can't separate the two.

    7) Ray Hudson because he is so passionate and funny.

8- Those hacks that do MLS games on FSC.

    1. HatterDon -- in honor of my "first love" Luton Town Football Club -- The Hatters
    2. Watching England's magnificent '66 World Cup winning team -- specifically Bobby Charlton, Roger Hunt, and Gordon Banks. This team has been low-rated recently -- especially by Brits. I don't know why.
    3. Favorite non-Fulham CURRENT player: Steven Gerrard skill+effort; least favorite: let me start the landslide for Fat Frank the Undead's Shithead.
    4. Favorite football moment: "they think it's all over ... well, it is now!"
    5. Favorite Fulham player: full disclosure demands I reply "Moritz Volz."
    6. Least favorite Fulham player: I hate to name anyone, but really, from the moment I heard that we signed him, it's been Danny Murphy.
    7. Favorite footy announcer: John Motson and the two Brits who cover ECL on ESPN2. Wish they'd do all the USMNT matches.
    8. Least favorite footy announcer: MAX BRETOS!

    1) Who I support, where I live. If I could change it,...WhitesBhoy (help a brother out PettyFog, as the geography may become dated shortly.)

    2) A realization that I can still play at 35 years old and the internet. I enjoyed the Beautiful Game previously, played it in high school and college, but never really fell for it, like I have now, until recently. Internet is almost self-explanatory. How else do you follow so many clubs in so many different time zones?

    3) Tie: McBride. Epitomizes everything that could go right with American soccer (but rarely does). Beckham. I'm a sucker for a good hollywood story.
Least: Zidane. Feckin' idiot who cannot control his,....well, himself.

    4) Maxi Rodriguez goal against Mexico in World Cup 2006. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xma06_ ... axi-rodrig. Reaffirmed, strengthened, and solidified my belief in The Beautiful Game.

    5) McBride, whoops already said that. So sue me.

    6) Zat Knight. Exhibit A of what happens when an English footballer thinks they are much better than they actually are.

    7) Eric Wynlada. Your my boy, Blue!!! (And Ray Hudson. And the Champions League guys from ESPN, guilty pleasure.)

    8) Max Bretos, for adding nothing to the game but stupid statements and piss-poor enunciations. Your a twat!

1)My name, first 3 letters of my last name, and my favorite #

2)It started with the WC and it just kept growing on me and now I'm petitioning for people in the states to call it football.

3)Favorite: Cesc baby (please refrain from posting your disdain, rhyme intended) as far as MLS is concern its Sacha Kljestan (I still don't know why)
Least: Any idiot stupid enough to play for the scum, Inzaghi he looks like he's gonna snap in half anyway

4)Seven - nil to the Arsenal v Slavia Prague
Other than that, Jimmy Bullard v Aston Villa
(I have not followed the game that long so I'm still studying up on the historic moments)

    5) McGod, Jimmy Bullard

    6) Depends on my mood

    7) The ESPN commentators that do the CL

    8) The MLS fools on FSC, and Wynalda when he makes a stupid comment

Well, I guess I can't be to careful seeing as how the arsenal isn't very well thought of..... I do have a thing for central mids. I think it has something to do with me playing that position when I played.

3.) Favorites are Tim Cahill and Edwin Van Der Sar. Least are Cashely Cole and Joey Barton.

    1. I live in Cleveland and Mo is short for my full name yet it doesnt give away my gender.

    2. This was a gradual process. First, when we lived in England, I saw my husband make the English boys from work eat their words when he played soccer with them. They were dying to get a yank on the pitch so that they could humiliate him and it was the other way around. Yes a beautiful game.

Then, learning about soccer as my boys started to play.

Then watching my husbands jaw-dropping prowess again as he played here in Cleveland. I could not believe the passes and shots he made. If he had been just a soccer player rather than a multiple sport athlete, I swear to God the US could've had in him it's first world class striker.

However, at this point I only worshiped my husband's soccer abilitly. I became an all-out, full-blown soccer fan because of the US vs Italy WC game. It was the first time in years I had been inspired by professional sports (athletes).

    3) Favorite is Kaka - pure soccer abililty and athleticism with none of the flashy Brasilian crap. Role model also. Least favorite - I dont know yet, nothing has made me dislike anyone yet 'cause here in the states we are too far removed from the prima donas.

    4) Favorite Football moment - I believe that is still to come this season with the Whites.

    5) McBride, Bullard a close second. But when it comes to managers Woy is my true love.

    6) Wynalda

    7) The FSC guys are almost always crap so I dont give them the respect, or maybe they cant command it, to pay attention to their names.

Least - Robbie Savage, Roy Keane, C. Ronaldo

4.) Fulham - Promotion from the 3rd divisoion
Personal - Winning a tournament in Holland against professional teams during the 50th anniversary VE celebration.

5.) Gary Barnett, Gordon Davies, Simon Morgan, Sean Davis.

    6.) Saha

    7.) Andy Gray

    8.) John Motson

1.) First name and last initial

2.) Three things. First and foremost my children. They hooked me into the game by watching the pure joy they all got/get from the game. Second, the U-20 world cup and watching Freddie Adu play with the same joyous expressions my own children have when they play. Third, Fox Soccer Channel for bringing the beautiful game into my home.

3.) KatieP and JoshuaP followed shortly by Adu and Pato. Their youth and creativity is sometimes breathtaking (Adu and Pato that is)

4.) With apologies to the professionals my favorite soccer moments will always come from my children. Last year Katie (who will tell you that Freddie Adu wears her number - yes she has a large ego) as a seven old played for a U9 travel team. Two moments happened on one day last year that dad will never forget. The first was Katie dribbleing the ball at full speed down the left hand side of the field directly at the corner flag with the opposing teams best player running next to her stride for stride for about 30 yards (To get the complete picture you need to visualize Katie's head not quite reaching the bottom of the other girls shoulder). Without seeming to slow down she cut the ball with the outside of her right foot and made as close to a 90 degree right hand turn as possible as the opposing player fell down and rolled off the pitch trying to stop. Having beaten everyone on the pitch and isolated the goalie with a 1 v 1 she did what only someone with her ego could do and proceded to shoot with no angle on goal from about 15 yards out and the ball trickled meekly to the goalie as she turned and jogged back down the field with a grin the Cheshire cat could be proud of.

The second was later that day when we went to lunch with Katie's coach and in the middle of other conversation her coach looked up from her lunch and changed the conversation by saying to me, "That was amazing!" Followed by me asking, "The run down the left?" and her reply of "yeah, she shouldn't be able to do that".

    5.) Clint Dempsey

6.) Haven't watched long enough to have a least favorite.

7.) I rarely pay attention to any anouncer as I do my own commentary in my head during the game.

    8.) See #7

1.) Where I live and my name

2.) When I was in Belfast, Northern Ireland before the 2002 World Cup my friends that live there got me hooked into things. While I had somewhat followed the game, I decided at that moment that I would begin learning about and following the game.

    3.) Favorite = Cristiano Ronaldo
    Least Favorite = John Terry

4.) When Fulham defeated Chelsea 1-0 on March 19, 2006 at Craven Cottage. It was something else to watch that match. I will never forget that one.

5.) Brian McBride is my favorite Fulham player. His work ethic and his professionalism on and off the pitch make him a superb role model for all.

6.) My least favorite Fulham player at the moment is Antti Niemi. While he is not a bad keeper, I think he is overrated and does get much criticism despite what I have seen as a lackluster season from his this year.

    7.) Martin Tyler

8.) One of announcers on GolTv that can barely speak English. I have no problems with folks who cannot speak English, but I would prefer someone broadcasting a match in English to well versed in that language. They guy I am referring to specifically sounds like Stephen Hawking.

    1) Just my first name. I couldn't think of anything else at the time I created my account.

2)I was always very intrigued by the international aspect and I did watch the 02 World Cup but didn't cross over to watching other stuff once it ended. The event which got me to pay attention and fall for the sport was believe it or not was the start of Freddy Adu's career in 04.

    3) favorite- Henry
least favorite- Obi Mikel at Chelsea erks me, half the time Landon Donovan but sometimes I forgive him

    4) prolly when I went to England for the first time and we scored the late equalizer at Chelsea

least favorite- without question USA v Checz Republic in 06 world cup

    5) McBride, did love Steed though as well

    6) Baird, I just think he sucks

    7) Gentlemen Jim and Max Bretos :D

8.) Chelo Balboa without question!! US legend but my gawd just not cut out for the booth.

    1. Famous Liverpool song, Everyone dreams of a "Team of Carraghers". Since my conversion to the black and white, Mike was kind enough to change my screen name to "Team of McBrides", because wouldn't we all like a side with his determination and grit.

    2. Fell in love with playing soccer at a young age. First sport I learned how to play and I've been playing ever since. Took a brief break for a year or two and dabbled in football, basketball and wrestling. Weren't for me. Just seems to be the only sport for me.

    3. Favorites: Damarcus Beasley (Rangers) or Diego (Werder Bremen). Least Favorite: Drogba.

    4. Probably the 3-3 Champions League Final between Liverpool and Milan. That match had it all.

    5. McBride or Bullard

    6. Baird and Murphy

    7. Tommy Smyth, with a "y".

    8. Without a doubt Ray Hudson.

    1.) I'm a huuuuuge Chicago Bears fan...for life I guess

2.) Quick version: Girlfriend of four years breaks up with me on the last day of school before I take her home for the summer in 2006. I have to stay at school for occasional work and summer classes. I get really depressed, I never went to class anyways, so I just stayed home and watched the World Cup. LOVED IT, everything about it, and got really into the national team. Then I started watching Champions League that fall and spring...then I started following Fulham when I got FSC because of all the Americans...now I'm hooked.

3.) Favorite: Kaka Least Favorite: Drogba

4.) Jimmy Bullard's winner vs Villa

    5.) McGod

    6.) Danny Murphy

7.) Ray Hudson, out of his mind

8.) I'm with that Tom about that guy on GolTV

One other note -- where I first found this thread had another question -- "What is your favorite team?" For obvious reasons I deleted it, so any lost Citeh or Blackburn fans who may be lurking or slumming around, your opinions are welcome as well.

However, Blue Poo fans, you can still leave no.
