Who is this team and how are they in third place right now?

Sky Sports had some interesting stats/facts about them last night. At this point in the season last year, they were in 15th place of the Championship.

And at this point in the season in 2002-03, they were in 18th place of the Third Division.

    Damn.

Ok.... theory. They have a team witch doctor who curses the opposing teams occasionally. Except this year Hull is paying the witch doctor overtime. Simple.

I love it. I just root for anyone outside the big 4. I know it's a longshot, but if by some act of god they can stay up there I would love to see the big 4 shook up a little.

I love their achievement thus far, don't get me wrong but the opportunity was there for us to do the same which is dissapointing.

The worst part is if you need 38 points on average to avoid relegation, they've done a lot of the heavy lifting that they need to do for the year. So, there is another relegation spot open for stragglers like Fulham :( .

Fulham's sponsor should be Milk of Magnesia.

Hull are the 2006 Reading of this year. There wasn't one last year.

Not to go too far off topic, but at what point does this become the big 5 w/Citeh's cash infusion?

Hull is looking like Reading '06-07 to me. We'll see.

    Team Stats - Hull
    Record Wins: 4 | Draws: 2 | Losses: 1

    Category..............................For Against
    Goals....................................10 11
    Assists....................................6 6
    Shots....................................71 106
    Shots on Goal.......................40 42
    PK Goals.................................1 0
    Corners.................................26 51
    Saves....................................31 30
    Shutouts..................................1 1
    Yellow Cards..........................10 7
    Red Cards...............................0 1
    Fouls...................................104 82
    Offsides.................................40 20

Thats 10 goals on 71 shots with 40 on goal. The one thing Hull have done is well is put shots on goal. Just over 56% of their shots have been on goal and they have converted those into goals at a 1 to 4 ratio.

Fulham have had 5 goals on 78 shots with 27 on goal. We have a ratio of just over 1 goal for every 5 shots on goal but have only put just over 34% of our shots on goal.

Hull City continue to look like the real deal. Hope they keep it going for as long as possible.

Amazing what belief and confidence will do for a team. They attack and know to a man something good is going to happen.

I picked Albion to win this week, figuring that the wheels would come off Hull's bandwagon sometime soon, why not away at Albion. Shows what I know.

It is scary, because their all-but-assured position in the relegation zone in August is not going to happen now, so that's one more slot open for someone else :( . Not a nice feeling for a Fulham fan.
