Finally, an MLS game that I can actually throw a little support behind.

I always enjoy putting the Mexicans in their place, whether on the field, supporting the national team, or yes, even when an MLS squad plays against their league team.

Will I watch the match? Let's not get carried away.

Oh, and your new sig line, Petty, is extremely uncouth in my opinion.

That's the old PCB, we've grown to know and .. ah.. let's not get carried away.

But I propose that Houston might play like a bunch of middle-schoolers... HTH can you pass THAT up?

Explain or STFU... it's {the fashionable reference} an 'inside joke' among crew fans, having to do with a summer Newcastle exhibition series a few summers ago. They played DC first then the traveling journo described the trip to Cols from DC in 'far less fashionable parts' terms.

I'lll go back to something about liberals later... right now I'm trying to get psyched. And as usual you offer your opinion as all the argument you need.

While I can explain the similarities, which you will then ignore by restating your opinion.

For beginners, 10 years or so versus over 100.

And Columbus being compared to London. Surely you jest.

Dc, you putz... DC! Otherwise I'd be comparing Columbus to Newcastle... guess who wins THAt pisser! And if you could READ, you'd get it that LONDON/Fulham is 'far more fashionable'

Grr... exactly WHEN did you go off ritalin?

In that case, your sig line is not only inaccurate, it doesn't make much sense.

Your quotes have become too cryptic for me. But that's just me.

    - - - Being a Fulham Fan is a lot like being a Crew fan, because it requires ability to get over heartache of subpar performances, mixed with occasional brilliant ones, and mystifying coaching decisions except Fulham is in a FAR MORE FASHIONABLE neighborhood Than Columbus is - - - -

    Geeez! how hard is THAT!

I like DC's odds much better than Houston's. Combonation of gut feeling and the fact that DeRosario is out.

What could we expect out of PCB at this point? Professess to love American soccer and its players yet won't even watch a game between an American club and a Mexican counterpart in a meaningful competition. Sigh...

I'll say it again, Sure glad there were indivduals who didn't have elitist attitudes back in the day and lowered themselves to watching Fulham hack away in the lower divisons.

The MLS teams are at such a huge disadvantage being in preseason form that I can't see either of the two advancing. This matchup isn't nearly as interesting as DCU & Chivas.

I feel your bitterness, and it is a bitterness that is tough to rid...I guess we should ask a Cleveland Browns fan how they got through '96 - '99. I take little solace in the fact that San Jose has the land, and plans, to build a footy-only stadium, because if it will ever be constructed is another story...

okay; there was an angry screed here, until I did enough surfing to discover what happened to the live fitba tonight.

Shame that FSC didn't run a stream at the bottom. I didn't get home until 7:43 CDT and watched for 15 minutes before I realized that PFC didn't stand for Pachuca Fitba Club.

    Sigh
