Well, I've never been to Spain...but apparently that is Henry's destination.

While not a "done" deal, I hope that the rumor pages will finally cease discussion of Henry's departure from the Gooners and focus on Fulham's imminent, massive and numerous signings.

I believe Henry is on his way to Barcelona which opens up the imminent transfer of Samuel Eto'o. Big transfers are circulating this summer...about time Fulham gets some players to sign on the dotted line.

Haha, edited my post, because it did come off that I was suggesting Fulham attempt to sign Eto'o. My mistake.

    Healy...Eto'o...

Apples...Oranges...all the same pretty much ;)

Henry is threatening legal action over claims that he's signed a three year contract with BarcaLounger. Sooooo

why do we care about what happens to the Gooners anyhow?

It is a league gossip page and a player of his quality warrants a thread. If he moves to La Liga then the EPL loses arguably its best striker and Eto'o is basically then forced out of Barcelona.

If Henry leaves it can send a ripple affect of transfers.

I was excited for him to leave the Gooners, and the Premiership...they scored and won less (insert but it's beautiful football remark here) without him (granted, RVP was out too).

If Henry left, they'd probably sign Tevez anyway...

Much rather Fulham face Tevez than Henry...lesser of the two evils I guess you could say.

With Henry in the lineup: Fulham 2 Arsenal 1
With Henry NOT in the lineup: Fulham 1 Arsenal 3

70/30 now IMO that he is on his way out. Could Dein of really meant that much to Wenger and Henry?

No offense to Henry, but I fail to see why Barça needs him. As a supplement to the talent they've already got, he seems unnecessary - Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Messi and Gudjohnsen are plenty of firepower even with Saviola and Giuly likely to leave at the end of the year; their 75 league goals are 11 more than the next-best club. Replacing Eto'o with Henry seems an even worse idea when you consider that Henry is 3 years older and had injury troubles this year.

Eto'o was injured this season as well. It isn't all that bad of move actually. Both Eto'o and Henry are similar in style of play and if they sell Eto'o for the rumoured amount of 35 million and bring in Henry for 20 million it is a good deal on their part. Plus Eto'o seems to be growing restless at Barcelona.

Giuly and Saviola are both likely gone at the end of the season leaving a few holes in the side.

After nearly an entire season of being rumoured to be on his way to the Camp Nou it has finally happened. Barcelona has apparently agreed to pay 16 million for Henry after his medical, which should take place next week.

Arsenal may adjust the price to fit the current market a bit with players such as Nani and Anderson going for a combined 34 million and Ribery being rumoured for 18 millions...Henry is surely worth at least 16 million to Barcelona if not more.

Interesting shake up in the prem. Are the Gooners an easier target for a surprise defeat in the season opener?

They've still got a boatload of young talent and Wenger will probably make good use of the money Henry will bring. I'm not getting my hopes up about this one.

Lets start off by making a comparison:
    Schevchenko: 30m
    Henry: 16m
    Bent: 17m

I know which one is the best value, in my opinion Arsenal got hosed and I'm glad to see it. They say he is past his best but with his injury last season Henry still scored 10 goals in 16 games...don't know why Arsenal didn't get more money for him.

Is it just me or did Barcelona get Henry in a steal for 16 million quid? I know the market is bombarded with over priced transfers, but surely Henry is worth more. Barcelona will surely score loads of goals and win the La Liga title next season. My prediction at least.

as someone pointed out on the Offal, it's a funny old world when Bent is worth more in the marketplace than Henry.

The EPL has lost its classiest striker.
