And if you love a good, festive parade (and who doesn't), enjoy the offerings of my hometown: http://www.wtoc.com/Global/category.asp ... menu89_1_4

Not that it is vital information, but Father Patrick O'Brien, who baptised our son Jack, is the Grand Marshall this year. Kinda cool.

    Erin Go Bragh! Slainte!!

On you Irish! Up the Rebels! I am wearing the only thing I own that is close to the color green. When I was a high-school kid I worked for a theater chain owned by a guy who always wore orange on 3/17. I didn't understand the politics then, and I'm sure most people in Albuquerque, NM didn't either.

Trivia: there are three nationalities that have more people living outside the homeland than inside it. They are Jews, Italians, and Irish. Useless information, I know, but the reduced facial hair has made me light headed!

    Back atcha!

Though near as I can tell, I aint got a drop of Irish blood in me I like Irish attitude and St Paddy's day.

And though I love seeing ND football fall on its face. And dont care for Celtic.. only reason to root for Celtic is when they play Rangers, whose fan fringes are assholes on the same extreme..
    And laugh at the Kennedy's

    Hmmm go figger.

I'm a mutt of a larger German/Czech/Scottish identifiable background, and can only claim about 1/6th via "Forester".

However, via my wife, the "Shannon's" are apparently quite well known throughout Galway, and Ireland at large. Our newest addition, Cate Shannon, will now carry the tradition and heritage by name.

If by "Irish" you mean "drunk". I love a good drinking holiday as much as the next guy, but even today I'm about as Irish as Pele, same as any other day.

    My favorite Irish reference anecdote:

Driving up the motorway from London to York, my office friend points to a ruin.
"See that, Armstrong. That's history, something you'd know naught about."
For once I shot from the hip and scored:
"I get your point, my family were leaving here about the same time yours came over from Ireland."

The only time I bested Neil Cameron in my four months at Bell Yard.

Last time I corresponded though, he didnt remember that at all... heh.

Not even remotely Irish, but you cannot turn your nose up at the chance of a jolly good p**s up. Happy Paddy's day to one and all. I've already enjoyed a pint of Guiness! COYW. Hope everyone is well and as soon as work settles down I plan on spending more time here!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO ALL!

I have the most Irish name on earth, but am only part Irish.

Here is a funny Irish song. I posted it last year and no one said anything so I'm posting a different version in case you guys dont like Dennis Leary.
