Ok, I've surfed the web a bit on this and have seen a few herbal remedies, mouth guards, etc. Is there anybody on this board that has had problems with grinding their teeth while they sleep? If so, any recommendations?

I need to stop this, I haven't slept well the past few nights. :(

My wife has used a mouth guard in the past to good effect.

My wife has that issue; she also used a mouth guard to good effect.

I did it. I used to wake up and my teeth just killed. Dentist said that was what I was doing. He suited me out with a mouth guard, I used it for a bit, quit, and I haven't had the problem since.

I ground my teeth for years, both in my sleep and awake. Finally, my dentist fitted me for a mouthguard. Not cheap, as insurance refused to pay for it (but a root canal -- no problem!), but it seems to do the trick. It also allegedly helps with my snoring. I did put a nice divot in my mouthguard within the first two months of wearing it; odd what having in-laws over will do to a person!
