I would have hoped Mr. Blunt would have given a specific example. It should be noted that Mr. Blunt is not running for reelection as Governor. Maybe he is a looking for a new job if you catch my drift.

    What 'Specific Example'!

The KMOV blurb didnt say enough? 'Chilling debate' ring a bell?

Who has money to spend for lawyers to prove he DIDNT slander a public official?

If political lying were supposed to be actionable, McCaskill would have been in the clink by now.
I'll wait a day or two for your answer.

KMOV is kind of a joke here in St. Louis. Half their promos start with 'for the saftey of your family tune in tonight at 10.' They are not known for researching their stories. It's hard to explain if you don't live here. They just use a bunch of scare tactics to get people to watch. If they can find someone to make a bold claim they will put it on the air. If you watched one of their newscasts from start to finish you would begin to understand.

So let me get this straight.

Because of their program format, they arent to be believed on anything? You mean sorta like the National Enquirer?

    Where are the denials?

Do you REALLY believe there's nothing political in those two prosecutors' positions? Or do you REALLY believe Axelrod et co had nothing to do with it?

As for KMOV. I take everything I hear on that station with a grain of salt.

Iā€™m not denying these things happen in elections (past, present, and future). I just think their is lack of evidence of some grand conspiracy to warrant the attention certain members of the media, and certain republican higher-ups are putting on it.

'Fog, do you feel you're a hypocrite for creating a forum with "no button-pushing" in the title and then starting threads for the purpose of button-pushing (e.g. the use of "Golden Child")?

Full Description. Arrived at after some disagreed on the definition of 'Button Pushing:
I believe the term you refer to falls under 'sarcasm and demeaning metaphor'
but not necessarily a blended puppy.

    Brad;
As a matter of fact I tend to generally agree with you. Let's not lose our lunch till a test case comes up, at the least.
I expect one pretty soon, in fact.

It's a relief to know that you're on my side on the concept. Wish you'd been around to help me out against Don on FISA and telecom amnesty.

Isn't MO the state that elected a dead person to office not too long ago?

As for the fear leads....that's everywhere these days, unfortunately.

Well fine. My point still stands.
Well, the alternative was John Ashcroft. I'd pick a dead guy too.
