Game kicks off at 5:00 EST this afternoon. Should be another opportunity for our younger and more established players to build some chemistry amongst one another.

The T&T side is a shell of the WC side. 16 Players are gone due to wage disputes, but they did quite well in their opening match. Spann's goal was amazing as well. What a shot.

    My lineup prediction is...

    Howard
    Simek - DeMerit - Boca - Bornstein
    Donovan - Feilhaber - Bradley - Beasley
    Dempsey - Johnson

I will be in the Fulham USA chat room during the match if anyone cares to talk about the match.

    Any thoughts?

and yet another post goes into the ether!

Let me try again: I'll see you in the chatroom for the first half. I have a gig this evening, so I'll miss the 2nd half in preparation.

    Haven't figured out Bradley's moves/motivations yet, so I'm wondering:

    1. If the Boca-Cheesehead pairing will get a full 90 minute runout.
    2. If he might put Deuce in his favored withdrawn position and run Twellman AND Johnson up front to start. Might rest his son Nigel in doing so.

    USA, dude, USA!

Wish there was some place around Gainesville that had FSC. Guess I'll have to live vicariously through chat.

I am sure there are some sports bars or retaurants that will show the game. Go check on foxsoccer.com. They have a pub guide that gives all the local restaurants and pubs in your area that subscribe to FSC.

If there is a Hooters (which I am sure there is) or a Beef O'Brady's, you should be able to watch. You'll just have to put up with people who probably could care less.

Yeah, there is a Beef O'Brady's I'm thinking of going there to see if they have FSC a little later.

NO, I'm not a gator. I just graduated from FSU with a degree in physics. I moved all my stuff into my parents house (in Gainesville) since I'm supposed to go to Officer Candidate School soon.

So you are a physics major...hmmmmm. Well I've got nothing to talk about on that topic.

What field or job are you looking to get once you finish Officer Candidate School?

Well, If I graduate (which I plan to) from OCS, I'll have about 2 years of training + 8 year active duty commitment after winging as a pilot in the Navy.

Wow...seems like you have some gruelling training ahead.

My brother is in the Air Force right now and continuing his training. Good luck with the future plans and all the best.

I'll be heading out, possibly to one of those establishments, myself to watch.

A Seminole in the eye of the storm. Good luck!

Ah well, so much for the Boca-DeMerit hookup.

Best lineup news: NO MAX BRETOS!!!!!

    ------------------------------

Half time report; should be about 3-0, but the linesman screwed up several good attacking moves. Closer than it should be.

So my prediction of 3-1 didn't work out, but it was an exciting match to watch.

Simek and Spector did a great job getting forward and providing service to the mids/forwards. Parkhurst left something to be desired. TNT primarily attacked him and he made a few mistakes, but fortunately none of them led to goals.

Bradley did a great job with his subsitutes and his plan of attack was spot on. If a little more luck would of been on our side the scoreline could of been much higher.

Donovan was unselfish and set up Johnson nicely for the second goal. I was most impressed with Mapp. He did a wonderful job working the sidelines, provided good service and even put a nice shot on goal.

Good result for the US and now onto the the most difficult side in our group, if there is one, El Salvador.

Although it was fun to see the USA dominate, I would have liked to see the T&T team from the WC. Can you believe a FIFA ref missing three offside calls in one half? What's next? Three yellow cards to one player??? There's alot to like. I hope there's not a letdown against El Salvador.
