I found the reason's why Miller pulled his bid for the Rangers interesting:

Good luck finding a local sucker. Sheesh.

I think it is awesome that he pulled out of the deal. Why any American would want to buy that club in the first place confounds me, but luckily Rangers' disgusting fans showed Miller the light. "Yank go home", Rangers go bankrupt. Ha Ha.

I also found it interesting that he wouldnt say who said that. I imagine because that person or that group's lives would be in danger.

Lets hope the other yanks associated with Rangers come home, not literally to MLS, but another club.

THis is the explanation Miller's friend provided

Rangers fans are among the most smug and most bigoted fans in the world. They have a tradition of intolerance that would put them right at home with the Eastern European clubs.

Having said all that, I hate to see any established club mismanage itself into extinction. If they do go down the toidy because they'd rather do so than have a Yank owner, then I'm glad a Yank could accomodate them.

When DaMarcus Beasley's car was bombed for the second time I pretty much figured they were the worst fans in the world. Glad they are still keeping it classy. While I see where Don is coming from, sometimes, and in this case, Bye bye Rangers. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

    And the SPL commits suicide.

Only the Old Firm Matches drew any interest from overseas in that Mickey Mouse league. I wouldn't be surprised to see the SFA start all over again in a few years.

Wow. Be interesting to see what comes of Rangers now. With Naismith to Everton be interesting to see who else goes now that they aren't a recognized club.

HD, calling it a Mickey Mouse league is an insult to Disney fans everywhere. If there was ever a league that needs a total overhaul it's the PSL (intentional wrong abbreviation as tribute to a certain Celtic fan that only haunts the Chatroom these days). Looked up the Scottish 3rd Division and Ranger fans must be looking forward to playing the likes of Annan Athletic, Stranaer, and Peterhead (No, I didn't make that one up  ).

On the serious side, I'm very concerned where our American contingent of Boca, Edu, and Bedoya end up.

So far the rumors have Boca possibly coming back to MLS and Edu going to Turkey.

But those are just interweb rumors.

Absolutely necessary, and advents a new era for Scottish Football. A more positive era. Because more than likely, Celtic will be leaving and going to greener pastures at some point within the next few years. If Newcastle and Sunderland can play in a league with teams in the southern Great Britain AND WALES, so too can some Scottish teams. Look for consolidation before too long, and long overdue.

Not to mention, Rangers fans are shite and deserve getting a beat down.

and now there will again be TWO Glasgow-based sides who will qualify for Europe on opening day of the season. The SPL is back to the Old Firm and the [number here] dwarfs. This isn't unusual. This is the situation in Portugal, Turkey, and -- most notably -- Spain.

It'll be interesting to see if Mark Warburton sticks around. I suspect the prospect of Champions League football portends that he will, but some clubs are funny about promotion, especially to the top tier. We'll see, I suppose. I really liked him for our job, but it doesn't look like that will happen. But crazier things HAVE happened, haven't they? And wouldn't it be fun to get a ticket to next season's first Old Firm renewal? Oh to be in Glssgow on THAT day....

In an early renewal of the newest incarnation of the Old Firm, Patrick Roberts ('member him?) missed a wide open sitter from a rebound off a post that could have won it for Celtic.

He had an excellent league match last time out and had them singing his praises. As one of my coaches once remarked, "The Sun don't shine on the same dog's ass all the time."
