GJ getting a co-commentator

    So Sean Davis will be joining GJ for the home matches. I'm entirely sure why. I don't have too much of a issue with it. But if I need to listen to FFC's audio stream, I think I prefer to hear one voice--even if it's very biased about what is going on.

    I saw this and immediately thought it probably has something to do with airing the matches on the website. Since most of those will be untelevised, we'll probably be supplying our own commentary. Did anyone watch the first one on the offal? Did it have the tv commentators or Jim dubbed over?

    It had Jim dubbed over even though they took the SkySports HD feed (and the stream certainly wasn't HD quality).

    I'm sure Don will bristle at this news, but I'm okay with it. As long as making room for Sean doesn't cost too many of those silly GJ nuances, like boot fashion reports.

    Sometimes GJ seems a bit out of breath being the only guy out there. Sean can give him a break to catch his breath or finish his sandwich or down his pint or whatever. I just don't want to see GJ go anywhere. I loved his angry commentary this week about the "stanchions" blocking his view - which was particularly funny when combined with the replay video that doesn't have an obstructed view - and his description of the pathetic TV that was supposed to be showing replays to the Ipswich fans. Who else could make us feel like we are actually sitting in the stands?
