We have a week to think and debate about this one.

    A few positives:

Niemi is back. Dempsey played in the reserves...so could be match fit. Bouba is getting back to form, McBride should be rested...oh the list goes on.

Wigan has been on a bit of a flyer lately, winning a few close matches as of late so this is will not be easy in any right. A draw would be good and win would be GREAT.

Come on Fulham, go for that second away win! I'll probably be up there giving my support.

Remember last year's match at Wigan was a heartbreaker--a goal at the end of the game for Wigan on a bad call by the ref.

Is Montella going to be back for this game or the next one? We could really use him for this match.

Dave, don't remind me of last year's game--UGH!!

I see a draw for this one.

I think Wigan's recent form has given them reason to relax a little. I think we're going to take them down.

Sadly, I don't think we get the Little Aeroplane back for this match, but I'd love to see Dempsey get a good runout. Back later in the week with lineups and scores! COYW!!!!!

We need to go up there with the idea we need a win at all costs. Fortunetly Man City is doing its best to run interfearence between the bottom 3 and the rest but a win puts us in great shape to stay up for next season and keep wigan between us and the drop. COYW's

Well, I'm not seeing any injury news, but I'm expecting full fitness for SHN, for the Deuce, for Christanval and for Papa. So here's my lineup for Saturday and prediction:

    Niemi

    Liam -- Christanval -- Boca -- 3U

    Dempsey -- Brown -- Papa -- Davies

    --- BMB --- Radz

Bench: Warner, Volzy, Smertin, HH, Routledge

I like Brian and either Brownie or the Deuce with a goal each. Result: Wigan 1 FFC 2

See you in the chatroom on St. Paddy's Day

Re: RE: FULHAM @ Wigan [Pre and Post Match]

He is still suspended, It was a 3 match ban v Spurs? We've played ManU and Villa since. The real issue is we have had a 2 week break so it feels like he should be back.

I like Don's line-up but would not be surprised to see Smernoff in the middle instead of Dempsey.

It doesn't seem like this game will be on TV in the US. I assume the game starts at 9 AM, EST? If so, I'll be in the chatroom then.

In any case, I think Fulham needs to out-run Wigan to win this game. When Fulham is looking tentative and a bit behind; the result does end up good for the good guys. The players should be well-rested enough to create havok all over the field against Wigan. Hopefully they'll score quickly and score enough to take 3 needed points.

We need to score some goals!
    ---------Nemi(thank god hes back)---------
    Liam---Val----Boca---Q--
    --------Davies --Diop
    Volz-------------------Radz
    ------McBride---Montella

Get Demsey in there in about the 60'

We really really need a win, and we've got to go at them. None of this try a grind out a goal and hold on crap. We've got more quality, take it to them!

I pity and feel sorry for whoever watched this game. Even moreso if you paid money to see this game live.

    0-0 draw.
3 attempted shots by the good guys.
    0 shots on goal.

It says a lot about the match when a streaker provided more entertainment on the pitch in a minute or so than the teams on the pitch in 90. Even so, I'll try to take some positives out of it:

    * We kept a clean sheet.
    * We got a point away.
    * The match didn't go into extra-time.

Well I just got back from work so obviously didn't see or hear any of this one but it doesn't seem like we "took it to them" as I had hoped.

I don't understand this crap. We are the better team, play them strait up and we'll win. Play half the game we played against Man U, Arsenal, or Chelsea and we'll win.

Some teams are experts at finding ways to win, knowing there opponent and knowing how to expose them. Fulham are the exact opposite.

Come on Cookie, get your men motivated.

It all just leaves me confused and frustrated :(

I just got back and it was pretty much as bad as it sounded.

What left me confused was Cookies first XI and his lack of substitutes...it's like he went back to the Cookie of 2 years ago. Wigan was there for the taking and we simply got a point...woeful. To be fair, Wigan was a bad as we were but thats no excuse, we should've run riot on them.

Our fans were in good spirits throughout and sang through this sleepfest. It was a good away trip but the performance by FFC was inexcusable. We know they can play 10 times better than this, hell, the players know that as well. But, its Fulham...beat Arsenal, draw with Chelsea away, and outplay Man Utd. but do a 0-0 draw with Wigan.

Does anyone else feel like starting a midfield with Smertin, Diop and Brown (and not even using Routledge or Dempsey off the bench) is basically equivalent to saying "we just want one point today"?

I had family at the match today, they said that it was awful, but, after 85 minutes of good support the travelling fans gave the players a little stick. Fair enough I think given the performance. Rosenior reacted very badly to this. Did anyone else who went to the match see this or expand on it?
