For the third time this season Fulham face off against Newcastle. Fulham has lost twice and has yet to score a goal. Meanwhile Dan Burn has managed to score in both matches - further evidence we are living in a computer generated simulation. This time though, Fulham has hope of scoring since the Newcastle defense has been shredded by injury and and Muniz has been hot. Of course, back in December, Raul came into the Newcastle match with three goals in the prior two games and was then promptly sent to the locker room with a straight red after 22 minutes. Hopefully Muniz puts in a full shift and Fulham finishes with 11 men this time.

I still don't think Fulham gets a win. A couple missed opportunities will lead to a mildly frustrating draw.

The game kicks off at 10am EDT on Peacock.

I hate these kinds of matches where my team dictates the action and dominates possession but never scores. I just hope it doesn’t cost them in the second half.

Just watched the replay. We were the better team for 70% of the game yet nothing to show for it. A bit disappointed but I also didn't expect much going in.

Well I was expecting a frustrating draw, but I only got the frustrating part right. Fulham played so well in the first half, but they couldn't turn that into very many quality opportunities. Some of that is due to some good defensive play from Newcastle, like when Muniz was bodied off the ball after that great cross from Iwobi. But I also think Fulham just took too many low quality shots.

Although it didn't matter in the end, I thought VAR got the call right that overturned the goal from Newcastle. I was shocked in the moment that a foul wasn't called for Burn trucking Bassey, so I thought it was a pretty easy call on review. I really don't know what universe the commentators were living in where you can flatten a defender in the box to clear out space for a shot.

Three matches and zero goals against Newcastle - ooof. At least Burn didn't score this time.

Consistency. We don’t got it. We’d have to forfeit the rest of our matches to be relegated, so I don’t think that’s a concern. The Jekyll and Hyde show continues.
