Ahhh . . look around you: the sullen faces, the looks of utter depression. "What are we going to do?" you say . . . the answer is stay tuned, keep the effing faith. In the words of Yogi Berra, "It ain't over til it's over" . . boom, nuff said.

    Says Hodgson:
“The people at the top from the Chairman down won’t envisage the idea of relegation until such time as we can’t make it off our own back. We are far from that yet, ten games is more than 25% of the season left”

I know he's Mr. Optimistic, even with bombs exploding around him, but that fills my cup with a little more hope than I had after Davies own goal this weekend. The odds are against us, everyone wants Fulham to go down - turn on your TVs, show up to your bars in numbers, we're not just a small team in Fulham and the supporters stretch far and wide. A comeback from their current form will be a sight to behold, and I'm not missing it.

We've wrecked Blackburn thrice in our last seven visits, and I smell a fourth. Let's go . . . who's with me?? <---yes, click that!

    From Hughes on the Offal:

"You know who you’re playing for – the people who work hard all week and pay their money to come and watch you all over the country"

Why can't American athletes understand this???

    Here's the article...

great words from Hughes, but that's all they have been for the past few weeks...we need results.

Score an effin' goal!!!!!!! Seriously, somebody, please, score a goal.

If HD and bearzfan consider themselves stupid with positivity, then I must be a troglodyte.

COYW! Make it interesting for us...

Actually, rather than Bluto Blutarsky, I feel like Eric Idle at the end of that Monty Python movie, forcing myself to keep looking on the bright side of life.

Shout out to the gentleman up north, to be perfectly honest I had to look up troglodyte. (from websters - one of a primitive race, that dwells in caves to gnaw). Not everyday you can mix in that word in a conversation.

As for the game, the difference is Burn finds ways to win, the Whites find ways to lose. After watching the Rovers game v Newcastle, the Magpies created a lot chances, but Brad Friedel showed he's still the best American keeper in the world.

Roy says the team needs to win half their games, let's see if he's willing to play for more than a 0-0 result.

The lads are on the proverbial life raft and the rescue ship is disappearing on the horizon. What are they going to do? pull together and be heroic? or take the easy way out and feel sorry for themselves and turn into cannibals?

Murphy is too small to feed them all...they'd have to eat Baird too.

What I'd like to see: [oh, and Andreassen is suspended, so we won't see him, Josh]

    -------------------- Keller -----------------------

    Staltieri ---- Hangeland ----- Hughes ----- PK

    ------------------- Volzy -------------------------

    -- Davies --------- Bullard --------- Bouazza --

    ------------------ Dempsey ---------------------

    ----------------- McBride ------------------------

If we're behind or level aftet 60 minutes, I'd like to see Johnson for Dempsey in a 4-4-2.

If we're ahead after 60 minutes, I'd like to see Johnson for McBride in a 4-5-1.

My only prediction: a goal for McBride.

Isn't Andreassen available? It wasn't a straight red. Thought you only got a 1 game suspension for 2 yellows??

As I posted on the FFC Facebook page, I say we go for the 4-4-4 and see if anyone notices.

    Niemi

    Saltieri Hangeland Hughes PK

    Davies Smertin Bullard Bouazza

    Dempsey McBride Nevland Johnson

You never know, we might even score twice

If I see another 4-5-1 (or something basically that), I am going to scream my lungs off and fly to London to slap Hodgie. He knows we need to win, and yet he still comes out playing defensively.

Not acceptable in this moment of crisis.

To answer your question...no, nobody would notice

In fact they may encourage it because it is just two more field players out there to make a mistake or an own goal or something none of us have ever seen before.

That being said, I think we stay with the standard XI man line-up and go 4-4-2 with a diamond in the midfield and Johnson slightly up from McGod...

    ---------------------------Keller-------------------------------

    --Stalteri--Hangeland-----------Hughes-------Konchesky--

    ------------------------Bocanegra-----------------------------
    --Dempsey------------------------------------------Davies--
    -------------------------Bullard--------------------------------

    ------------McGod---------------------------------------------
    --------------------------------------Johnson-----------------

Bench: Niemi, Volz, Murphy, Bouazza, Nevland

OOOOoooooooooohh if I saw this line-up I would dance like a tiny banana with huge eyes!!!!

I just want to see Keller in. Get him in there...see if he'll at least come off his line.

I like Don's lineup. I know a lot of you are mad at only 1 striker up top but I think we have to for this match, at least in the beginning. That does not mean don't attack...I think Dempsey needs to throw himself into the box every attacking opportunity and I think we need some flops just outside the area so Bullard can have a few cracks from set pieces.

Maybe Don blanked the ManU game out of his memory. Couldn't blame him if he had.
