As far as I can tell the only way to follow the match is going to be through GJ on the website. Game starts 3pm EST.

It is PISSING down with rain here in London. I may have to wait a while before heading out to the Cottage.

Team sounded like they got off to great start from a Sidwell header from a Ruiz corner kick. However, it sounded like the same malaise from last season. Game ended in a 1-1 draw. Why do we even do this?;-)

We do this because we love to be masochistic.

A very drab affair. Our goal was against the run of play. I didn't see their goal, sadly, as someone was yakking at me. (note to self : leave wife at home). However, Berbatov was intense, screaming at everyone and everything. Some intensity like that is good to see in a preseason friendly. The Real Betis fans were loud, but not nearly as loud as the Belfast Crusader fans from two years ago. Oh, and their fans were just jerks, in general.

Anyway, a draw was really fitting. FFC was especially tentative in the first half. I'm thinking it was probably because of the rain, and them not wanting to get injured. I was sopping by the time I got to pick up my tickets and renew my membership (note to self: let FUSA know my #). It seemed like AGES before I got to the Crabtree. . .

A fun time and a fair result. On to Saturday!!

Thanks for the match report RDG, and glad you had a fun time. The why we do this question was a joke in reference to the funny NBC promo thread Mo posted (http://fulhamusa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1078 ).

No, I AM a masochist. See the teams I root for (NY Mets, NY Rangers, Buffalo Bills).

I usually dread preseason games, as they are a license to take fans' money. . . However, at £7.50 per ticket, I cannot complain.

I'll post my photos when I get home.

Above is the link to the photos for Real Betis match.
I am still a wee bit jet-lagged. I missed the Sunderland match, waiting for the plane, but did find the score just as I was ready to get in my seat. I celebrated with an extra glass of champers.
