Well, who knows what will happen at this one. One thing I do know is that it will be tense in the Cottage for 90 mins.

Most likely we'll lose. They have 1, 2 or even 3 players that cost more by themselves than our squad does as a whole.

So, no Jimmy Bullard, no Boa Morte, and probably no Boca.

Assuming Bouba is back my line up is:

    Niemi

    Liam -- Pearce -- Knight -- Queudrue

    Volz -- Bouba -- Brown -- Routledge

    McBride -- John

My hope for this match is simple........I hope no one gets hurt. I am not optimistic about getting a win or even a point especially with Chelsea losing at the Cottage last season.

I have almost conceded defeat. I just want the team to stay healthy heading into October, a month that I consider to be the toughest and most telling of the season thus far.

Well, we got 4 points out of the last two matches that ChiTom had already conceded defeats for, soooooo. :D

I want more than nobody getting hurt. I want passion and committment and joy in wearing the shirt. I want the Blue Meanies run ragged and glad to escape the Cottage with their sanity intact. That may not translate into three points or even one, but I want 11 guys out there letting the Samsung weenies know they are in our house!

I'll be in the air on my way to the Twin Cities when this match is on, so I won't be in the chatroom or watdching on TV, but I'll be wearing my shirt. COYW!!!!!!!!!!

We'll give CKSA London a run for their money, no doubt about that -- but a 0-0 draw is really the best I'm hoping for this time around. Unlike them, the injuries we have actually hit our squad hard. I don't want to see them going into a "damage control" mode, but at the same time, we desperately need to get the squad healthy.

I am with you here Don. I would love to see this kind of energy, excitement, passion and committment to the team. If that is not good enough, well at least we can say the team gave it their all.

As long as they don't rack up the goals I will be happy. We need to get back to the possitive GD on the table list and then the points we already have will be worth more! Move on to putting a fix squad together for Watford. Should be able to get some goals there.

As a long-time University of Kansas fan, I'll offer the following insight... we waited 20+ years to beat Nebraska in football... we waited 15+ years to beat Oklahoma in football... we caught them both in down years and broke the streaks... we haven't beaten Oklahoma since... and I'm not sure they'll get Nebraska on an off day anytime soon...

Embrace Fulham's troubles with beating Chelsea! As long as we go in with low expectations, then we get to celebrate when we win and not be disappointed when we lose! If we start hoping for another win this close to the last one, we'll get high ideals for a team that, well, let's face it, has to play on heart rather than talent...

Oh wait, I'm a Twins fan, too... drat! There goes my argument! We only expect the best from the Twins and get all upset when they don't exceed what should be only meager potential.

    Chelsea 1 - Fulham 0

There was some talk a while back about moving Liam to midfield and dropping Volzy back to RB. Is that still under consideration?

Also, I'm assuming that Papa is rested and ready? I wasn't sure of his condition after White Hart Lane.

I'm not predicting a score. I'm just wearing my shirt on the plane. So far the score is 3 game days, 7 points. I know we're strapped, but sometimes the little guys slap the Evil Empire around.

Hell, folks; the Mets just clinched the NL East after Atlanta won it 112 years in a row!

    GET SOME!!

Everyone sing it: Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts...We! Are! Screwed!
Not because we're playing Chelsea, but 'cause of all the injury problems already.

I'm feeling strangely optimistic about the game, maybe it's because I just finished watching the DVD "Goal! The Dream Begins".
    Anyways, my lineup:
    Superhero Niemi
    Liam, Knight, Pearce, Quuu
    Routledge, Brown, Bouba, Radz
    McBride, CJ

    Colemans Rallying Call

"We're not competing with Chelsea for honours but we're competing for the day and they're on our patch. We must send them packing from our manor - it's as simple as that."

I enjoyed that little bit from Chris. COYW's

Not to Rumstove, just read on the official that Diop is a 'maybe' and no mention of McBride on the injury report so lets hope the Top Yank is healthy.

sky sports is reporting that McBride, Bouba and Boca are all doubtful, with their status pending a late fitness test. If they can't play, here is my lineup:

    Niemi
    Liam Knight Pearce Quuu
    Volzey Brown Claus Radz
    Routledge John

    Subs:
    Lastuvka
    N. Jensen
    Timlin
    HH
    Runstrom

Why not try Routledge up top and let him run at people with his speed. This way, we get all three right-sided players on the pitch. (Liam, Volzey and Rout) What do you guys think?

Sure, there's plenty of injuries. Sure, being bounced from the Carling Cup by Wycombe sucks.

All that means is that Fulham has really nothing to lose here and everything to gain! If Rutgers college football can dispel a prior decade of mostly-and I'm being kind here-crap-ass football by quite possibly starting the season 4-0; surely, Fulham can dissapoint Frankie and the Blues.

1-0 Fulham, it's TIME for the UPSET.

Looks like CC read my earlier post on this thread. I like the attitude. Play firm, play hard, be committed, kick ass, take names, wear the colors proudly.

Can't ask for anything more, and it looks like Cookie won't accept anything less. Ninety minutes for the lads to make us proud.

COYW!!! And Mike and VB and the rest of you "locals" , MAKE SOME BLOODY NOISE ON THE TERRACES TOMORROW!
